The Chicagoland race really threw so many monkey wrenches into the mix in the final laps making for a most exciting finish to it all! First and foremost Mark Martin was the driver to beat as he clearly dominated the entire race for much of the laps but even he fell back towards the end but quickly reached the front of the field again taking the lead in dramatic fashion~. Jimmie Johnson led the second most laps and even looked to have a chance to win…..until the jack slipped on a late restart and that was only the beginning of his problems as a later run in with one Mr. Busch…not Kyle but his brother Kurt instead added to him falling back and eventually recovering for an 8th place finish *luckily*!! =)

Jimmie Johnson, Mark Martin & Tony Stewart who all had good finishes were in numerous entries so with Kyle and Kurt Busch's on track problems it really came down to Tautterkle and Nayoko-Kihara in the final laps going for the win as they had nearly identical driver choices with Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart being on both of their fantasy teams lending to it becoming a battle between Mark Martin (Nayoko-Kihara's pick) and Carl Edwards (Tautterkle's pick) to see whom would finish best~. When Martin fell back late in the race with Edwards up to 9th with less than 25 laps to go it was either entries chance to win….with Martin eventually prevailing in 1st and Edwards dropping back to a 14th place finish~. Rebear I did try to contact you in a reply to remind you that I still needed to receive your 3rd secret driver in a PM but it wasn't received :(……..you had chosen Tony Stewart & Jimmie Johnson both of whom finished really well so you definitely had a chance to tie Nayoko-Kihara for a chance at a tie breaking race off.

Here are the final standing……and congratulations to Nayoko-Kihara as you've just won a new copy of Airiin's latest shashinshuu release "Aoiro." ＼(^o^)／☆ I'll be sending you a PM for your shipping instructions soon~. ＾　＾

Mikitty is married in Hawaii~! ＼(^o^)／

If you're like me the past hours have been really saddening with the announcement of Kannachan leaving Hello! Project with so much still shrouded in a cloud of vagueness for lack of a better description…….however there is also some very *happy* news to hear as Chocobliss just PM'd me this Yahoo! Japan news article!! Thank you Chocobliss as this really helps to cheer me up so much in this very sad time~. ＾　＾ The article says that Mikitty was married to Shouji Tomoharu in Hawaii and it looks to be that their wedding details were kept under wraps quite well leading up to their big day~. I suffered a kanji snafu there with the details of the actual wedding date as it occurred a week ago on the 3rd with their official registration being filed on the 11th. I listen/understand much better than I read Japanese… (*´艸`) Baka ne~ (._.;). A few wedding photos are posted here at the Oricon Style page.

And this goes way back to May of 2007 when Friday magazine first "Friday'd" them together with Mikitty spending time at his home….leading to her stepping down as Momusu's leader. =( Mikitty's perseverance and her outright defiance of the perhaps unwritten "do not date clause" which affects so many idols has shone through!! ＼(^o^)／☆…as she moves to the next phase of her life~! And it's so wonderful and symbolic that she's now married to the very person that began all of that unnecessary drama and penalties which she suffered back then. Omedetou~~! Mikitty!! I'm so *happy* for you!! o(*´∀｀)o゛

I was in such a panic when I first realized that Cdjapan was indeed already noting Arashi's latest single as "out of print"…and in just a few hours since their new release newsletters were sent out! きゃぁーっっっ(/∇＼*)！So I quickly searched YesAsia and (*sigh*…) luckily they always seem to still have Arashi available even when other sites sell out so quickly….thank goodness! (*´∀｀*) Just shows just how popular Arashi is!!!! It did take a bit longer to arrive from YesAsia but just knowing that Arashi is on the way kept me in happy suspense!

Just continuing to ♥ Arashi CD releases including their music videos!…..H!P..(hint! hint!) Both the limited edition and regular editions have quite similar cover artwork with the LE being set on a beach while the RE was shot with a bit of greenery which looks to be just a bit further away from the shorline~. While the LE includes said *wonderful* pv the RE includes karaoke tracks for both title track and coupling with songs which is a rather nice touch.

I'm so hesitant to describe "Everything" as purely a ballad as its song structure is rather well driven and upbeat all the while making me *misty* eyed by its beautifully euphoric feeling ヽ(。´▽`。)ノ。。！！ which resonates clearly in its melody♪♪~. The second verse in particular is a most favorited part of mine as the member solos really show off their strong and so unique vocals~. And leave it to Riida to raise *everything* to further heights during the bridge portion. =) "Everything" will be such a crowd pleaser in concert where I can imagine the entire arena seranading in unison~.

From the slightly grainy feeling of the film, to the pv's in studio setting, the circle of mics in addition to the casual attire you just get such a feeling of *warmth* along with an underlying aura of realism to the overall style and look of the pv~. Add in the walking scenes shot in the glow of the sunset and this is absolute joy to watch! Simply, no one does it any better than Arashi~.

Seems like only yesterday that many voted for you to be their very first pick on our imaginary little league teams~

The past two singles were just not the same without you there. First with Megumi and now with your departure C-ute will once again be forever changed. Just know that in your heart of ♥'s you will be so missed and from my deepest of thoughts I will never forget you~. with ♥

So many things went through my mind as I read both Charmy Risuzu's PM & Strawberrie's comment here……like how did we reach here?

How our dear Kannachan must have contemplated so much in her absence. The daily grind that must have been overwhelming at times. How much scrutiny and criticism can one take. Maybe fans should be more caring and careful with their words and actions. From fan sites to actual meetings surely one must put themselves into another's shoes before laying such judgments or words on another. How much did those "fans" truly affect her psyche when they blatantly brought her to tears in purposely ignoring her at meet & greet events? Do idols read or get translations of fan sites where words can often be piercing and hurtful? Whether that's true or not all authors who contribute to this most wonderful thing we know as the worldwide web share in a responsibility. Maybe to heed mom's words which resonate…if you have only hurtful words to share about someone, maybe it's best to not express them at times. We're all very much the same…we all dream, hurt, & love~.

But how did we truly reach here? At 16 most are free to mature and grow up out of the spotlight. Without needing to adhere to those perhaps unwritten rules……no dating publicly. There was Kannachans's dating Hashimoto Ryosuke. How during her absence might have she dreamed and finally realized that a life outside of daily scrutiny and overbearing rules was what she longed for the most. She would be able to date freely. Free without tabloid attacks. Free without unflattering press. Free. But if not entirely for a normal social life she may have also contemplated long forgotten goals….those that we each think up and aspire to at an early age when our teachers present us with career workshops. Just from the outside the life of an idol/artist looks so demanding. Rigorous schedules…dance rehearsals…stage preparation….musicals….voice lessons….photo shoots….fan events….constant travel….unimaginable pressure to perform….and so much time spent away from *home*. Perhaps there is a *solace* to be found there…..or for some elsewhere. Another career direction and lifestyle eagerly awaiting her. o(*´∀｀)o゛

Kannachan also celebrated a birthday while on hiatus….away from the daily spotlight and demands. And in the end, it may have been in blowing out those very candles under normal cirumstances…where her dreams truly lay~.

..I received a most *endearing* e-mail earlier this morning from a most dear friend in the UK….which has got me through today in a most happy and euphoric mood…please forgive my strangeness which may show tonight while I type this~ (。ーωー。) ♪♪~

I'm currently watching an older anime series "Comic Party" that a friend sent me awhile back so I promise to try not babble for too long! (￣Ｏ￣*)!

UTB continues to return to grand form and by that I do mean in my most biased of senses….as H!P is really being featured much more as they used to once absolutely fill this publication with member/group features from cover to cover. =) The highlight first and foremost being the latest issue's *covergirl* Maimichan! ＼(^o^)／☆ Also it's notable to say that if you're a fan of AKB48 you'd surely find this idol magazine a worthy read as they're regularly featured in every issue…a trend which has lasted for at least the last few months till now and it doesn't appear to be fading away anytime soon either~! Hmm….I'm a bit puzzled by the appearance of SKE48….dare desuka? (・c_・;)？A mini unit? Shuffle group? Has Tsunku gotten to them too? (^o^)!!

Even the new spine of UTB says it all……awesome quality & long gravure! Σ(￣◇￣*)！Or should I say longer gravure as the main idol features have certainly grown in length….add in glossy covers, flat style spine, 110 pages+, beautiful photography, informative articles, idol games, idol news and Yes~! lots of H!P! =)

UTB does a great job at separating all that a fan may love with the idol's being featured as for example if there are three H!P members, each set will then include one of their cards each so no matter which set you end up receiving you're assured to find a most *adored* member waiting there for you in that little pouch midway through each issue~. My issue included set A w/ Maimichan! ＾　＾

You see awhile back I asked Mr. O'Brien for some most needed help in finding out just what will occur in the coming years as the Hello! Project Eggs grown and mature and he was so eager and *kind* back then to lend a hand…his mind..and a very special crystal ball which sees into the future ala: "…In the year 2000" fame~!

We learned many valuable truths including likd how…in the year 2012….Tsunku will become Berryz Koubou's 8th member while stealing the member color pink from a stunned Momo and also of the creation of Tsunku's most grand shuffle group ever who'll bear the name "Asudawamanairosekitty!!" And the clocks really ticking Conan so we better see some of these come true soon ne~……."love triangles?!!"…."mistaken identity cosplay?!….now I know you're  most intrigued ne and just in case you missed it earlier you can read on for more of  Mr. O'Brien's predictions here~. After a two year absence Ueto Aya gets anim”e”ted for “Smile for…”

June 24th saw the release of Ueto Aya's long awaited new single as the talent extraordinaire has been absent from the music scene for quite a long span since her last release~. And from what I can only imagine must be a most loaded and demanding schedule of hers….Ueto Aya being one of the most popular and in demand actresses/talents in Japan today, it's easy to see why perhaps she's been kept away from music for quite some time. And can you believe it's been over two years since she last graced the music scene?!! =)

The great news for fans is that in just a week from now Ueto Aya will also release a new album "Happy Magic-Smile Project" which features both a loaded first press edition which includes in addition to the music disc…a DVD as well as a photo book!! (catalog number: PCCA-02941) and a regular edition as well….(catalog number: PCCA-02942). There's just something so captivating about anime theme songs and it often can transcend beyond those familiar with the series as just the *aura* of these theme songs are usually of the most well crafted sorts which can immediately capture just about any listener's heart~. The title track "Smile for…" serves as the ending theme song for the TV anime "Katekyou Hitman REBORN!" and it's a really cute and lighthearted track…..just what you'd hope for, for an anime as the theme songs themselves often times become just as important as the substance of the anime in terms of breathing full hearted life into vivid images, characters, and storyline for the most memorable experience possible if the chemistry's just right~.

The coupling with track "Mou ichido dake" is a mesmerizing mid tempo ballad but don't let the word "ballad" deter you even if it's not in particular your taste in music as it's rather on the up tempo side of ballads all done with a sense of granduer with moving string arrangements and the beautiful vocals of Ayachan~.

Hirano Aya’s photobook giveaway determined by a wild finish at Daytona!! :o

With Hirano Aya's latest photobook "Girlfriend" hanging in the balance of the racing gods earlier tonight Daytona International Speedway did not disappoint!!! Restrictor plate racing always seems to bring out the most exciting and yet the most nerve wracking of finishes and with the #18's (Kyle Busch's) last lap attempt at at double block on Smoke (the #14) who was just leading a few laps before, this one was most dramatic~.

Before getting to the giveaway results here's a little look at the catastrophic finish which really literally created havoc in the final standings………..

“The Legend of the Shadowless Sword” (Highly recommended viewing)

……………just re-watched this last night and it's still highly recommended viewing~!

I don't often recommend films here but the impact this film left on me was much to powerful to not mention. I won't go into deep detail regarding the storyline which is nothing short of sensational as I wouldn't want to spoil anything for a first time viewer. The title "The Legend of the Shadowless Sword" is an adapted U.S. version release title as the film is originally titled "Shadowless Sword" as it was released in Korea. Although the story is based in ancient Korea, the film was shot on location in China utilizing their often breathtaking landscapes as the perfect backdrop to this epic story. Choreography wise..think "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" meets "Shinobi" meets "The House of Flying Daggers" but add in an extra intense sense of visual realism as the battle scenes are shot without the need to soften the bloodshed giving the film an intense impact on the viewer throughout. Often times martial arts films tend to pad the audience from the bloodshed and lopping off of limbs but here the director had no such agenda and while "gore" itself doesn't necessarily automatically give an action film or anything within the genre instant validation…here it's done in an almost necessary tone giving "The Legend of the Shadowless Sword" just that whether intentional or not. The engaging storyline also sets this film apart from some of its predecessors as the main characters are given ample time to be developed before the audience, all while not slowing down this on the edge epic in any way. The wire work is spectacular and nothing short of what the very best choreography can produce complimenting the film without ever giving one the sense that it's being overdone in any sense and be prepared to view one of the most dazzling underwater shot battle scenes ever produced in cinema.

Lee Seo Jin as "Prince Jung-Hyun"

…"Prince Jung-Hyun" (played by Lee Seo Jin) and you can imagine his reluctancy to return quietly as heir to the throne given the ongoing assassinations to that very seat. An aspect that I really love about this film is that the main female lead (Yoon So-Yi) is by far the #1 butt kicking character in the entire film and in addition to her wonderful deadliness is the fact that Yoon So-Yi is drop dead beautiful! What better way to portray the film's strong lead heroine than with an actress of such striking beauty…casting gets an A+ for this alone. ("Azumi" would be another fine example of sensational casting with Ueto Aya) And likewise, one of her nemesis is along the same league in striking appearance although I definitely give the overwhelming edge to Yoon So-Yi without a doubt. And if you get your hands on the U.S. version, in addition to a making of featurette there's also the inclusion of interviews with the main three actors in the story…you won't believe what Yoon So-Yi is like out of character! She really really embraced the role and it's just amazing to see her looks and demeanor in an outside setting. Okay so I haven't given away too much right?…and hopefully just enough to whet your appetite I hope!

C-ute "shochuu omimai moushiagemasu" LE & RE CD singles

I'm feeling a bit under the weather (￣Ｏ￣*) so this will be a bit short tonight…actually it's been an entire week of feeling not so good Ugh! (*≧∀≦)☆★ ↓

But C-ute's latest single was just released on July 1st!!..and this release puts me into a much better mood despite having a runny nose, sore throat, headache, slight fever and a seemingly never ending need to cough! (*´艸`)!

The music coming from H!P has just been awesome and especially recently with so so catchy songs like "Rival", "Hajimete no keiken", Shouganai yumeoibito", "aMa no jaku", "Summer has come!" and it goes on and on ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪~! Both LE and RE covers have a warm and classic stylish look to them but I'm really happy that a uniform look was chosen for the dance shot pv…hmm I'm yet to see the other versions as this is the version they chose to include with the LE CD release and thankfully so as their accompanying pv DVD single isn't released until July 8th~. The RE didn't include anything extra other than their event application card (only valid in Japan though) but the cover is still gorgeous and provides a close up versus the full profile appearance of the LE.

All 3 discs too are decorated too with some really adorable art!!…and I'm thinking that the members themselves designed these as the inner back cover shows a peek into their artistic notes which are also featured on both covers~.

Although Tsunku only penned the lyrics for the coupling with track "Zansho omimai moushiagemasu" this pairing makes for one the most infectious melodies yet for H!P! "Shochuu omimai moushiagemasu" definitely takes the lead here and I'm just loving what H!P's been doing with cover songs and especially this one so far!! Originally recorded by the Candies in the 70's "Shochuu omimai moushiagemasu" breathes summertime with the absolute cutest composition & melody~….it's sweetly nostagic notes ♪♪~ ….vocal nuances that just melt you!! ….along with a 50's feel that in some instances makes me think of the musical "Grease" all go together so immaculately performed by a much much capable C-ute! The uniform aura which really stylized much of the early girl groups in the classic eras makes C-ute's appearance that more impressionable and in some ways this is sort of like C-ute's "Waracchaouyo BOYFRIEND" which both suited and raised the bar for Berryz Koubou back in their earlier catalog~……..

…and to say that this is quite possibly the *cutest* song by C-ute yet I don't think is a stretch ヽ(。´▽`。)ノ。。！！

Despite it's very very similar title, the coupling with track "Zansho omimai moushiagemasu" is a much darker, moodier and emotionally charged composition…..that being said though, the title track "Shochuu omimai moushiagemasu" wins for sure with its overwhelming power of *sweet*-*adorable*-&-*catchiness*!

So *pretty*!! and yes sexy too are these outfits…..C-ute can do no wrong! ＾　＾

The dance shot version of their pv really shines with choreography which captures the song's nostalgia as well as adding a bit of a contemporary feel to it all as C-ute brings a new chapter to this most beloved song~. I'm guessing that the original version of the pv is going to be sooooo *melt* worthy!! ………(゜∀゜)………。that I'll become nothing more than a pile of mush on the floor when all's done~! XD Can't wait till next week ne~!!
