It’s been about an entire year since C-ute’s leader and most model~esque has treated fans with a new shashinshuu collection, and just last month… at long last that pictorial drought has ended! One can ponder whether or not this will be Maimi~chan’s final shashinshuu collection as a member of C-ute ,with the group set to disband next summer, or perhaps even her final shashinshuu as an idol as her plans if any in idol culture post C-ute, remains an unknown. In any case one of Hello! Projects/ Idols’ most gorgeous is this time photographed in Taiwan, making it her very first such project in this culturally rich locale. Much of the chosen locations and scenery are distinctly shot with an aim of capturing and bringing to light a feeling of the location’s nostalgia, capturing Taiwan’s landscape and unique culture… with of course the overwhelming beauty of Maimi~chan taking center stage. However at times you feel as if a bit more of that Taiwan aura could have been captured in locale choices, then giving the book’s feel much more a “Taiwan” cultural stamp. Really a minor critique though as no doubt the lighting, poses and styling are most excellent here. Overall Maimi~chan’s wardrobe choices here are a further testament of her ever growing maturity and whether aimed at glamorous to casual the mood is firmly set in Maimi~chan’s growth into a beautiful young woman. Still there’s an ample abundance of one to two piece mizugi photographs here as well, all of which compliment Maimi~chan’s always gorgeous physique. ^^
“Hitori no kisetsu” is available in two different covers, above left is the original cover version while to the right is Amazon’s limited edition cover version.
Yajima Maimi’s “Hitori no kisetsu” shashinshuu is a hard cover edition, A4 sized and includes both an outer dust jacket as well as an obi, all of which are beautifully glossy. Paper quality is a premium here as well and before we get to the book’s scans which I’ve done in totality here, let’s take a look at the making of….

As with many prior WaniBook’s productions, “Hitori no kisetsu” includes a behind the scenes making of clip. This one runs approximately 10 minutes and do note that during Maimi-chan’s first commentary, there is an audio issue happening and that is on the original recording.. could be the strong winds which were clearly present or something else I’m not sure.
