(Limited Edition type B outer jacket scan)
(Limited edition type B inner jacket scan, gatefold style)
When it comes to surrounding a song with a mini-movie it’s been Family48 leading the way of late, but today I’d like to share an artist whom may even have a leg up as these two crafts coincide and I’ve got a strong feeling that you’re going to have a possibly new favorite song on this particular album by post’s end, but we’ll get to that soon enough! And so today we’ll take a quick look at Ohara Sakurako’s type B version of her second album “V” (for “VIVO”) and as I had mentioned in her type A album post, a really cool aspect here is that both outer and inner jacket panels feature mirrored panels which are truly reflective. And to evidence just that, in the second scan atop here you can actually see that the scanner did indeed capture the bottom panel of my scanner that being the gray surface with those horizontal lines going across. And for whatever you may have imagined Sakurako~chan’s “Vivo” to represent…. here in the second scan atop (the inner of the gatefold style jacket) and to the right is a piggy acting as the “Vivo” definition map =).
~Ohara Sakurako’s “V” album can be ordered @ Cdjapan~
So with type B’s CD being identical to type A’s, which I’ve already covered in the previous “V-album” post here, I’m going straight to featuring type B’s DVD exclusive content while also re-posting the album tracks too afterward.
~ LE Type B’s DVD~
While type A’s DVD included an entire concert, here with type B’s DVD you’ll receive a very very special mini-movie drama titled “Sign” which runs just under 27 minutes and yes it’s a direct tie-in with this album’s track “sign.”
Of course Sakurako~chan famously got her kick start as an actress really hitting if off with a starring role in the movie “Kanojo wa Uso o Aishisugiteru” back in 2013 and here her acting ability is most notable as she’s quite the youthful and yet somewhat veteran actress with all of her previous experience. This movie’s role then featuring Sakurako~chan as a member of the band “MUSH&Co” which led to an initial two movie tie-in singles and then her debut as a soloist and as they say the rest is of course history!~!
Okay so what’s remarkable about this mini movie is that not only do we get an entire story line to the song “Sign” breathing life into its lyrics and melody, but also a lasting emotional element which grows from an unlikely chance encounter and how even in the briefest of friendships….the human heart knows no such limitations when it comes to fulfilling a dream even when the odds and circumstances are stacked against us in life. Heart warming and yet deeply saddening is this mini movie’s story and it’s one of those which will indeed move you to tears, your recommended watch for the day~^^*.
So here type B’s album tracks are identical to type A’s but I’m still going to include them here just for listening convenience sake. And YES you’ll find the complete studio version of “Sign” just a bit below =).
~The album tracks~
(featuring lyric & liner notes booklet scans)
In addition to including Sakurako~chan’s latest single hits are there all new songs to LOVE~♥? You Betcha!~! And lots of them here as Sakurako~chan continues her growth as an artist and musician adding to her music authorship and oh~that voice just continues to develop upon her already so accomplished touch, nuance and emotional delivery! And never to play second fiddle is the outstanding song writing which continues to impress here, as Sakurako~chan’s not just about the pop/rock/ folk genres. ^^
“Odorou”
“Daisuki”
“Kimi wo wasurenaiyo”
“Yuuki to hohoemi”
“Melody”
“Manatsu no taiyou”
“Kokoro”
“Sign”
“Tremolo rain”
“Dear My Dream”
“Kimi ni naritai”
“September”
“Scope”

Thanks, I played all the sound files today while I was writing up another Pokemon nicknames.
: )
They are all good, but I am voting for “Odorou” and “Tremolo rain”.

Tremolo Rain is an amazing song!! I had just been gushing over it during Sakurako~chan’s latest single post, and to think it was a b-side! Not sure if you’d watched the music video but it is visual bliss I promise!! Search daisuki or ohara sakurako and the post should pop up, it’s the second video there =).

So I listened to the tracks…some of them really blew me away. I think my favorite track is dear my dream, which has a nice melancholy yet dance feel to it. Just my kind of song. The beginning of Tremolo Rain I could listen to over and over, it’s so catchy. And September really is a nice song to get lost in as well.
Wonderful post of yet another artist. I hope I can find some time to watch the mini movie clip as well! Very cool all around!

Wasn’t sure if you’d take a liking to Ohara Sakurako’s songs, she’s been my most favorite ‘new” artist and she just keeps getting better with an emphasis on wonderful song writing which she continues to have a hand in. Here a very solid sophomoric effort!
Based on your initial thoughts here, you so should take in her mv for “Tremolo Rain”…
my gush~worthy music/ visual of late!:

Yeah, she kind of grew on me the more I listened to her this weekend. I’m happy I did.
I will be watching Tremolo Rain more than likely. I have been trying really hard to get through Long Vacation episode, since it keeps freezing every five minutes or so on me. It just froze on me now, actually. Totally and beyond frustrating, to say the least. But I’m about thirty minutes into it, so I don’t think I have much more to go, thankfully. I can’t wait to start reading your comments and comment as well!

Are you watching on a pc? May play better than with a mobile device albeit it should play on every platform. I apologize so much, that is awful =(.

I’m watching on my laptop. I watched the one episode on my phone and it worked pretty good there. Maybe I’ll try that. Right after I left you the last comment, I was able to get a few more minutes of watching. It’s stuck again right now. I only have like four more minutes or something. Not sure what is going on. Your videos usually play pretty fast and this is the first time I’ve ever had a problem. I wonder what it could be? No worries though. I’m still loving this episode. It’s too good. Just way, way, too good.

This is so frustrating, I hope it’s an isolated issue and since Koike Rina’s videos played okay for you maybe WP has issues with this one video for some reason. Haven’t had any playback issue comments elsewhere so I do hope it’s isolated. Still it puts a damper on your viewing experience so much =( …I hope it plays for minutes at a tine and not just seconds but in any case thank you for fighting through it.

watched the video….just…there are no words. Beautifully shot. Loved the beginning too with her just singing away like that. If only I could find somebody who was like that…just….really, really cool. I can’t wait to hear more from this girl!
