It was an intense game. My brother picked the other team though. He was disappointed.

Totally screamed and jumped up and down. Man, I never should’ve moved away from where I lived! Two teams in my hometown area bringing home the championships? Clevo finally breaking their nasty winless streak in all of professional sports? LeBron silencing all of the dumb haters and trolls out there? Yep…. totally awesome night in sports. The underdog won! The greatest basketball series final ever, and overall, the cornerstone in LeBron’s legacy to the NBA. This win was more important than his other two. It meant something for his HOME. What more can you ask for from the Sporting Gods?
    This day has been awesome!

A Cleveland vs Pittsburgh world series?

    • Totally agree that this one means much more than his first two in Miami and it’s not even close in size and meaning!! =D We had a LITTLE PARTY that evening that went on quite late, probably too late but I did take the next day off as a precautionary measure so either it was going to be a celebration or a cry~fest and so so happy that it was the former.

So many factors and this is the stuff of legends!!:

      – LeBron coming back to Cleveland for this very reason.
      – Cleveland’s drought and so much @ stake for a finals, perhaps the MOST EVER at STAKE: 73 win all time regular season great team vs. Lebron’s legacy and a city which hasn’t celebrated any championship for any major sport in 52 years.
      – No team in finals history ever coming back to win when 3-1 down, CAVS MAKE HISTORY.
      – Golden State’s staggering home record and CAVS winning there twice in seven games when Golden State had only lost @ home twice all of the regular season.
      – Draymond Green now known as “The Crotch Reaper” =P suspended for game 5, a pivotal occurrence which he brought upon himself.
      – Clay’s mouth, “poking the bear” when he ridiculed LeBron during the game 4 post conference referencing him “having feelings…”. MOTIVATION? You BET.
      – LeBron leading all players on both finals teams in the five main basketball stats: points, assists, rebounds, blocks and steals…. something that has NEVER BEEN DONE BY ANYONE BEFORE, NOPE NOT EVEN MICHAEL JORDAN.
      – In crunch time, The LeBlock heard around the world as Lebron blocks Iguodala coming from half court in like two seconds (really 2 seconds) to get up and block the shot against the backboard…. incredible.
      – Kyrie’s shot heard around the world as he crosses over Stephen Curry and steps back for a really deep three~*~~*.
      – JR’s post game with the media, an all out emotional opening of the soul like never seen before and coming from JR it’s the most unexpected thing really… loved it.
      – Curry being on court to congratulate the CAVS players post game 7, and Draymond Green coming back onto the court after initially leaving, to show respect towards the CAVS players…. really classy. ^^
      – CAVS selling the most championship merchandise in the history of the game according to news reports, confirmed and twice as much as what Golden State sold last year. Yup a 52 year drought will do that.
      – CAVS celebration~*~~* parade lasting 5 1/2 hours today, when it was originally scheduled for 1 1/2 hours is just WOW and the fan turnout was beyond AMAZING.

My greatest sports year ever? YES! As now both the Broncos & CAVS have won their respective championships!~!

Now if Jimmie Johnson wins the Sprint Cup Championship it’ll be the trifecta! =P

Wow. Perfectly put in every respect. I honestly can’t even comment because you said everything I would’ve said about the win. I don’t know much about the Cavs, admittedly, other than my sense of being able to support them because that is the area of the US where I lived for most of my life. So I feel a sense of duty to the Cavs. I just don’t like watching too much Basketball, except at playoff time. But I know Cleveland needed this win BAD. The city is so depressing and has been without a championship for years and years and years. It’s good to hear Believeland will get a new ending, considering that was one of my favorite 30for30 docs to ever come out. Even with its somewhat sad ending lol.
Anyway, this is perfect. So happy you are happy about the win. It was a win for all of us who dare to believe in the impossible in sports. And this series might be considered the greatest series in Basketball history, given what it meant and the fact that nobody has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA finals. That’s just ridiculous to even imagine. But I don’t have to imagine it anymore…because it happened. Truly awesome stuff!

Now they can add a happy ending to “Believeland” !.

    • Just got word that they’re redoing the ending to “Believeland” and adding in this championship drought ending awesomeness!~! I think they said it’ll re-air @ the end of this month if I heard correctly. =D I’d watched this 30 for 30 three times now and each and every time that ending conversation at the counter always makes me cry.

Yes, good for my friends back in Ohio.
If only there was some way to change the fate of the 1995 Indians. One of the writers in the film said that the 1995 Indians were his favorite team in all of sports, and I tend to agree.

Speaking of crying, the National League umpires in the 1995 WS made me want to cry.All those pitches way — way — WAY — off the plate by Glavin and Maddux were called strikes, but they would not call it a strike for the the Cleveland pitchers. This was clearly shown on overhead replays. (Cut to Sandy Alomar turning to the home plate umpire after a ball called — REALLY?!?!) Were Smoltz/Maddux/Glavine that good, or did reputations give them the extended strike zone?

Oh, can you loosen this straight-jacket for me? I’ll calm down.
