℃-ute …a long time ago in a queue not so far away….

..So just as C-ute’s new triple A-sided single “Naze Hito wa Arasoundaro? / Summer Wind / Jinsei wa Step!” has arrived in the mail TODAY (really cool when an overseas release arrives on the actual release date)!! …and upon launching my post editing program, I just realized that I totally forgot to post to blog their previous single release which is like a few months old now and was still sitting in queue =O! #brain-hiccup/ #blog-blunder! Well for what it’s worth I’m going to post it here anyway as it probably took me a “day” to create all those months ago =). Such is the life of a scatterbrain =P.

And so until I’ve officially unwrapped the cellophane from C-ute’s actual now NEW single release which I have in hand, here’s their previous double A-side single release “Arigatou ~mugen no yell~” & “Arashi wo okosunda Exciting Fight!” which was released waaaay back last October 28th, and here with both tracks being featured in tribute to Japan’s wrestling athletes, the former as a theme song while the latter represents their cheer song ….this was quite the momentous and memorable C-ute single!! And what’s really really extra~cool is the inclusion of arguably the greatest wrestler of all-time in Yoshida Saori!~! That is her inclusion in C-ute’s music video for the “lead off” song “Arigatou ~mugen no yell~” as the mv has intertwined footage of both the C-ute girls deep into rehearsals as well as wrestlers training their craft …the “second” A-side also following suit in its mv production as well.

Immaculately polished, one certain means of stating C-ute’s rise to the contemporary musical tier, or what I’ve dubbed as their reaching “Pulp Fiction” status with their previous single (will only make “sense” if you’ve seen their previous single posting here =D). And much like Hello! Project’s most vocally talented of artists in Ayaya, C-ute also now feels not unlike an “out of body” experience when considered amongst the entirety of the current H!P family of artists as their musical substance, style and star have far risen beyond any of their fellow stable artists.

Here I went with purchasing Limited Edition single types A and B as each corresponding DVD includes exclusive music videos for each song plus their making of clips.

“Arigatou ~mugen no yell~”, much like its predecessor “Tsugi no Kado wo Magare” is pure contemporary pop perfection~*!~! With an outstanding vocal arrangement, C-ute’s utmost vocal development with each and every member and a sweet array of backing harmonies complementing each girl’s solo riffs ….C-ute is further cementing their place beyond that of idols and cutesy pop. With the concept of PRACTICE, love love!! the MV’s direction here as the contrast between the girl’s white wardrobes against that of a blue sky, as intertwined with the aforementioned wrestling footage and the C-ute girls all deep into their rehearsals ..really  makes for a vibrantly fun and most colorful watch! And while others may try, I’m not sure if anyone seduces the camera quite like Airiin ^^.

Now I definitely feel it

A completely reproduced and revamped hard rock composition of the 80’s gets new wings as C-ute gets their edge on, not to mention a most aggressively choreographed number to match!! In particular I think Chisato really shines~* here and when I say hard rock I do really mean it’s a head~bangin’~good~time!~! ^^
