Hashimoto Kanna Sailor fuku to kikanjuu type B cover

Hashimoto Kanna in Sailor fuku to kikanjuu.. (9)

Hashimoto Kanna Sailor fuku to kikanjuu CD type A with first press photo extraOur once in a one thousand years idol~♥!! Hashimoto Kanna has just released her very first solo single last month on the 23rd! And its title track is the theme song for a full length feature movie in which she’s also starring in as her very first lead role has been realized!! In a nutshell Kanna~chan plays Hoshi Izumi, a high school senior whom once headed a small yazuka group who is now leading a normal life with school and work with all of its day to day challenges…. until the sudden death of one of her classmates leads her back to her yazuka background as the safety of the city lay in peril.

Although I do prefer single type B’s cover artwork (seen here atop), here I opted for type A as it includes the title track’s music video on its accompanying DVD. First press extra is a randomly included photo (1 out of 5 types).

You may be wondering why Devil-Kanna~chan??

The second coupling with song is titled “Akuma na Kanna” ….however I’m refraining from adding those songs to this post as it’ll keep something more to look forward to when you purchase this single too =).

Rev. from DVL

Sure you most likely know Kanna~chan as being a member of the idol group Rev. from DVL, or perhaps from that single image of her gone viral awhile back during a live fan event or maybe you recall her hilariously quirky restroom time thingy??…. as well that one would be pretty hard to forget ^^*

Hashimoto Kanna Little Star~Kanna 15~

And then of course there was her shashinshuu debut “Little Star~Kanna 15” which I scanned and featured here back in late 2014. You can click~* here to revisit that shashinshuu or check it out in case you may have missed it.

~Hashimoto Kanna “Sailor fuku to kikanjuu” (mv)~

What I love about this music video is that it’s part “movie making of” with a few behind the scenes glimpses, part Kanna~chan RAGE!!! as her machine gun toting character is revealed, as well as it being… well an actual music video with Kanna~chan waxing the lyrics poetic as she walks along a city’s landscape. “Sailor fuku to kinkanjuu” is a love at first listen, a gentle mid-tempo ballad which fittingly oozes a cinematic flair with an array of tear~drop piano notes cascading gorgeously against a lively whirlwind of orchestration along with an ever growing urgency in melodies and rhythm. haha was that a bit too cheesy? =P Well this song is that ear~catching and readily likeable I think! =)

Albeit it’s featured more as a movie tie-in single for Kanna~chan it’s still really her solo debut single, and now let’s hope for much more coming from this adorable and very talented idol with more solo works in the future!!

    • Really an awesome production for here debut as a solo girl! And I love soundtrack music so this is so up my alley as movie themes much like drama theme songs just have this special aura about them. Styling wonderful as you can never go wrong with seifuku =P albeit she’ll be wielding a machine gun…. mmm certainly a much more spicy~action inspired movie here no question. Still Kanna~chan shines~* and it’s so promising that she’s so soon already gotten her very first lead role in a movie along with a solo debut single to boot~!! Not to take anything away from her group, but I’d much rather see her as a soloist at this point as she clearly has been the stand-out girl! ^^

you like her group too ?? rev from dvl ?

        seifukus are always cute hahaha

a movie with a little “no sense” moments like why a school girls hold a machine gun ?? haha

true get too good point for her carrer so fast, hope her agency dont make wrong moves now @.@

well from the begin she is the center of attention in her agency, if i remember the group get created because of her

        • Ah we’ve spoken about REV from dvl awhile back when I first started noticing Kanna in the press and then magazines =). For the most part the group is okay, I mean they’re not getting the greatest of song writing in my opinion but they still have quite a few catchy songs for sure. Haha no need to convince me about seifuku♥ and how it relates to idol culture and really beyond that too…. btw also makes for a perfectly cute Halloween costume =)!

MMm…. the movie’s backstory is something like her growing up in the gang lifestyle where revenge was a big part of it. Still I know it’s an extreme image!! Did you see Sakuratan w/ a machinegun in hand for her role and a most awesome music video?!

I wonder if one day her management will say Kannachan it’s time to go solo!~!?? I think she’d be amazing as a soloist but if that does happen I do hope that they do keep her music style within a “J-pop” range and not get too R&B or otherwise too soon ^^.

haha so everygirl in the halloween dont need but clothes to play in the day 😛

hahaha look little strange see movie like this a child with a gun @.@

not see this MV yet maybe because i dont like much sakura 😡

well she already have a solo single so probably dont go do much impact on her :p that new
true i think the current style is good for now

            • In so many ways it’s all about the songwriting too, I mean an idol can be as adorable and talented as heck but if the songs given to her aren’t up to par it’d be difficult to grow a long time following I think. Yep! Seifuku for Halloween may be like cheating on the costume bit but it certainly works! =D

Ohh but the MV was really great and so is the song! Oh no you’re a Sakura hater =(??! LOL we really don’t like too many of the same idols xD.Okay you must explain to me why you don’t like Sakura… I mean she’s sweet, funny, has humility and is great performer live in concert.. dances well and runs hysterically awkwardly, what’s not to love about her =D!~!

But sometimes the song dont mean so much, some idols get up fast with bad songs, because they are cute and beauty or somethings like this

not hater only dont like her hahaha.
you know lot of girls with talent and they stay pushing only the same one, never give chances to other, thats the motive of the mass grad.

well i agree she is sweet, i dont see the funny thing on her sorry :(, and she really ahve talent… the thing broke every thing, like i said, the mass push without care for the other girls with talent….

have you seen Assassination Classroom live-action?She’s one of the students more likely a virtual idol/ultimate weapon of destruction kinda vibe.Is this a remake of Masami Nagasawa’s 2006 drama?

    • Hmmm not familiar with that drama but i think this movie’s an original production?? Not positive though I’ve not seen any outside references made just yet. =) “Assassination Classroom” sounds interesting but I’ve not seen it, Asian cinema sure loves these style of movies!
