Think you know Ricchan? The following book will open, enlighten~* and change your entire perspective of an idol’s career …ended all too soon.
Though that dreadful attack at a handshake event from May of 2014 may still linger very fresh in mind as that sort of sick action doesn’t fade ever really =( …the graduation of Ricchan (Kawaei Rina) in August 2015 no doubt caught many by surprise and yet now @ 20 years old and upon the cusp of her twenty first birthday just days away, fans are treated to a most engaging and all-inclusive reveal as Ricchan’s long anticipated (mind you its release date had been delayed not once but twice dating back to the final quarter of last year) “First Photo Book & Essay 「Kore Kara」” was just released late last month on the 20th.
Recall that beautiful music video dedicated to Ricchan which appeared on AKB48’s single release “Bokutachi wa tatakawanai?” Well now after perusing this newly printed book thinking back to that MV, it really does serve as as a visual preface, as if one were standing in the book’s foyer awaiting entrance ….as the music video itself immerses the viewer into a moving recollection of memories brought to life with the premise of a single book and how the bonding of friendships and hard work have all led to the realization of one’s dream~* and furthermore the future.

And YES! what an absolutely gorgeous song ♪～♪ ～♡~^^。
Kawaei Rina’s “First Photo Book & Essay 「Kore Kara」” is “digest” sized as have been its predecessors including those by Takamina and Acchan to name just a couple in recent memory. And while “photo book” translates into “shashinshuu” it’s notable that these “Photo Book” releases by Family48 do distinguish between the two terms as the former doesn’t constitute a full blown pictorial collection but rather a pretty healthy dosage of both text and photographs inside. “Kore Kara” is a soft cover edition and measures approximately: 8.3 x 5.9 x 3.9 inches with a total of 127 pages and the saying that wonderful things do come in tiny packages does indeed apply! Okay not exclusively making reference to the cute and petite stature of the 5 foot tall Ricchan as we’d see pretty much eye-to-eye =P, but also in reference to …of course her debut PB & Essay publication ^^. Oh and the book does include a most adorably sexy photo as well as having an outer dust jacket and obi to boot. The contents is roughly about a 50 page essay to 70 page photo ratio with the remainder being staff credit pages and a brief introduction. The essay portions are filled with personal engagement including Ricchan’s childhood growing up years to her time in AKB48 leading up to her now legendarily cute and hilarious air time during their variety programs =). To say that it is duly noted would be an understatement!~! Valuable life stories and lessons really are what is conveyed here throughout. And of course there are chapters dedicated to her time with fellow AKGirls as most notably Ricchan’s friendships with Takamina, Yui, Mayuyu and Iriyama Anna are explored further with the underlying tone of how those friendships had grown into life-long bonds and just how that each have nurtured and grown to this day as they have indeed each in their own way continued~♥. Ricchan’s decision to graduate is likewise explained as there were parallel circumstances too which helped decide her pursuance as an actress as she details all in thoughtful tone.
Now getting back to that most dreadful day back in May of 2014 where Ricchan was seriously injured by a saw wielding sicko while attending to an AKB48 handshake event, in this book she doesn’t mince words as her tone is real and heavy when speaking of that day and just how it totally changed her outlook on life itself, how she needs to live in each moment fully as she notes how life can end in an instant =(. And while many may regard Ricchan’s mind as being on the silly and even not so bright side academically speaking, I urge you to read through her essay here as it’s going to change your entire perception …in a nutshell, Ricchan’s not as “baka” as you may think. =) No not at all. She’s a very smart girl with a warm and real deepness in her self awareness knowing of just how life connects it all.
And all in all what this entire book truly culminates as a whole, I can only imagine its readers finding even more of an attraction and bond with Ricchan with an after~feeling of wanting to support her that much more ^^*.
OH! and did I mention just how amazing the photography is here (cute, sexy, candid playful….)!!!!!!
If you adored Ricchan till now, prepare yourself to up that affection to the next level!~!
