With Christmas stuff~*~* already hitting the shelves since August who says it’s too early for a SeptemberWeen??
Just released late last month on the 26th it’s AKB48’s now 41st single release and what makes their single releases around this time of year extra special is that the song groupings represent our now most established and profound Idol~Democracy as fan voting determines exactly how each featured grouping is set with the top 80 vote-getters being grouped into sixteen with each group’s title from top to bottom: Senbatsu, Under Girls, Next Girls, Future Girls & Upcoming Girls respectfully.
Post-pre-ordering all four versions I was bit torn when seeing the gorgeous covers for the Limited Editions revealed and interestingly all four randomly inserted photos I received are representative of those LE covers, however I had to go with the Regular Editions as they were noted to include each a randomly inserted photo while the LE’s feature each an event ticket…an event that I won’t be in Japan to attend that is =P. And in the true spirit of Halloween it is the RE covers which capture the festiveness of this night so perfectly =).
And as per usual the external photos offered as first pressings by Neowing are of the same type so I got four duplicates here and as far as getting each and every single type (A~D) it’s a must in order to receive all of the mvs/songs this Halloween/Senbatsu single has to offer fans~!
Okay so just above are the four random photos I got! And getting a Paruru~♥ photo was quite the tingly* moment ….and just how adora~sweet is her pose! …plus it’s my very first Sakuratan♥ single version photo too so double the happiness here ヽ(。´▽`。)ノ。。！！やっほぃ♪ ！～！So I just had to include them into the opening scan montage atop this post and I just have to ask….when you first opened up this post and went from the pumpkin atop to the ghoulish group photo and then to the Gorgeous Paruru~♥ did your heart skip a beat or two just thinking about how adora~cute she absolutely looks here ^^.

~AKB48 “Halloween Night” (mv)~
AKB48 proves that HYDE isn’t the only J-franchise capable of a most stylish Halloween party!~!
The title track welcomes back Queen Sasshi♥ with a follow-up disco inferno to all the rage which was “Koi suru fortune cookie” a couple of years ago and just like its predecessor “Halloween Night” does indeed love the night life and has just got to boogie!! ^^ Add in the theme of spooks and spirits…less the alcohol of course =P and with the girls all dolled up in festively spooky attire it may take an extra split second or two to just recognize some of the girls whom are featuring a bit more elaborately done wardrobes here. A++ for creativity all around and it won’t be very long before this disco tune is firmly haunting your both your memory and playlist(s) =)! note: “Halloween Night” appears on all four single types on both CD and DVD discs.
~Under Girls “Sayonara Surfboard” (mv)~
“Sayonara Surfboard” is exclusive to single types A & B.
Haruppi plays the central star in this social media driven mv which beckons the eyes to not blink for a moment as not to miss any of the non-stop candid sensory~candy fun (*´∀｀) うれしー♥♥♥！And who doesn’t love and relate to the never ending desire to selfie oneself, your best of friends or best of circle of friends alike?! And the song itself is a most truly J~Poppy tune with an instantly catchy chorus…hooked filled is this one which inspires from 80’s styled melodies which is sure to enlighten your senses~. And while I was beforehand imagining~*~~* to no avail of the girls on surfboards in bikinis at some point (I mean this is an AKProduction right =P!!) just remember and really think about the cereal Grape Nuts …..as it contains no grapes and no nuts and yet people still love it for breakfast, so here too you will love this mv I promise (。ーωー。)笑。
~Future Girls “Kimi ni Wedding Dress wo…” (mv)~
A~h as the saying goes ….”Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” the traditional saying that has become a wedding custom for good luck for a bride which will bring continuity with the bride’s family and the past, optimism and hope for the bride’s new life ahead, an item from a happily married friend or family member ….whose good fortune in marriage is supposed to carry over to the new bride and the color blue, I have no idea of why it is blue however I do like the color blue so why not =).
This is really amusing and wonderfully acted out mv as it brings to light just a tiny hint of the cliches of a wedding’s pretense you know with at least one thing going awry for a moment but well just as long as the groom is present with ring and the promise of lifetime together then all’s well that end’s well right! “Kimi ni wedding dress wo…” is precisely the shiny bright ballad you’d expect for such a momentous once in a lifetime occasion with an ensemble vocal arrangement which dreams~*~~* and soars alike in gorgeous harmony and just what is it with idols and wedding dresses anyway? I mean just considering the universal no-dating rule which has been deeply embedded in the culture for like forever now I figure it’s in part the fan fantasy driving this long standing tradition of idols in wedding gowns, a tradition of sorts which I first saw the group CoCo embrace for a photo shoot and …..wait for it wait for it, their song appropriately titled “Wedding” of course. ^^

~Upcoming Girls “Kimi dake ga akimeite ita” (mv)~
Remember the time Phoebe on Friends led the girls in a man~cleansing ritual…okay it’s nothing like that…(^q^)! But rather “Kimi dake ga akimeite ita” is a melancholy song of unrequited love where the season’s change is expressed as an analogy of sorts to your love interest’s change in mood and appearance reflecting an inevitable ending to your hearts’ desire as if the changing winds have blown it all away now. Not to sound overly dramatic but it’s meaning goes along those lines in a much more poetic of ways of course =). Here the mv’s dark and rainy skies play the perfect backdrop to “Kimi dake ga akimeite ita”’s likewise melancholy of lyrics and melody and while the girls were busy burning their keepsakes the thought of Phoebe’s aforementioned romance blues “remedy” antics just happened to pop into mind is all =P….just one thing here, who’s the guy at the ending. I was like eh? Dare? (・c_・;)？
And on a much brighter note do take note of the best top to be worn this side of J~pop which reads: “You Know I Am So Fabulous”….and I so agree as she really is ^^.
~Single Type C~
~Next Girls “Mizu no naka no dendouritsu” (mv)~
Now it’s time for AKAfter Dark.
And there is no doubt that the girls are conducting something* very sensual in all of that water with lyrics which speak of love and a whole lot of touching which is likewise going on in this very moist mv (*´艸`) 、but no need for bashfulness as I sometimes imagine Mayuyu~♥ this way…did I just say that aloud? Well a girl x girl fantasy isn’t a bad thing is it? I mean I’ve never acted upon such thoughts personally but you never know right! =P And just think for a moment….all girl group + no dating rule = curiosity, perhaps. Note the nets as the lyrics here tell of a sort of struggle for love to push forward in this environment of water and let’s just confess that the visuals here are downright tingly* and to that very thought it’s so putting it lightly ^^!!
~AKB48 “Ippome Ondo” (mv)~
One of my most favorite songs and mv’s here is without question the traditional enka song “Ippome Ondo!!”
You’ve probably seen it in countless movies and I so love the sights and festivities of the summer matsuri (festival) with the games, goldfish, fireworks and of course the summertime yukata wardrobes!
And the lyrics of “Ippome Ondo” really engulf you in the essence of a summer festival with all the allures of the evening as you wholeheartedly wish to dance with your love on such a night amidst the sounds and joyfulness and YES that summertime warmth~. And what a detailed set which must’ve taken so much to put it all together, just so beautiful! ^^
~Single Type D~
~AKB48 “Yankee Machinegun” (mv)~
And to close “Halloween Night” is the gritty rock~n~roll~ness of “Yankee Machinegun” which hails as the theme for AKB48’s fifth installment of “Majisuka Gakuen” and talk about taking this drama series to an entirely new level!! This song is so so sooooooooooo readily catchy and just add rowdiness I guess?? The accompanying visuals here are sort of John Woo inspired you know if he just happened to be into that whole school girl gone very bad thing! =P Stylish beyond words with a most cool dance choreography to boot and no doubt you’ll be mesmerized by the action sequences of both MachineGun-Paruru♥ and BabyFace~Sakura~tan♥ as they grace the screen singly, armed & dangerous on numerous occasions here =O! And YES just like DeNiro….that Paruru♥ sure can say a lot even when not uttering a single audible word of dialogue ^^!~!
