~ARASHI’s “Lotus”, my next guilty pleasure♥

With a friend here being turned onto ARASHI recently I thought it a perfect time to reminisce with a few older postings from over the past few years here @ WP ^^.

Don’t you notice that drama~♥ theme songs are always like a cut above everything else? It’s like the song “knows” it’s special and everything then falls into place~. To begin with the set is amazing to look @, and then you have some of the coolest choreography lending to visions of a lotus~ in bloom. Seriously this has gotta be some of the most visually stimulating art the boys have given us thus far. I’m a bit torn between “Lotus” or its main coupling with track “ever” as being the top song for this single and while the RE exclusive song “Boom Boom” may be a bit more standard r&b in form it’s also a catchy tune by all means…..just not quite as addictive as its predecessors~. The RE also includes exclusively, karaoke versions for all three songs and of course an alternate cover image however the LE’s inclusion of their original pv of “Lotus” makes it the must~have without question!! For awhile now and with recent singles we’ve been spoiled with also an extended making of clip too however sadly none is included here, and just being able to witness the boys learn and rehearse the visual feast (aka: the amazing dance choreography!) would have been equal to the pv♥ itself I would imagine =).

Play, melt, repeat as necessary ヽ(。´▽`。)ノ♥。。！！There’s a beautiful tension in “Lotus” very much in the vein of their singles “Truth” and “Monster” in particular. This song is just pure amazing!!! ~♥~! Hmm..something tells me that had it not been for the accompanying visuals of “Lotus”……”ever” a very sweet and inspirational ballad totally could have represented as the title track (*´∀｀*) ♪．．．．but in any case…..

…”Lotus” totally receives Maochan’s music~seal~of~approval for one of the best songs♥ ever ヽ(。´▽`。)ノ。。♥♥♥！！！

The LE version also includes exclusively a 12 page booklet with song lyrics and photos and you know while I do love the whole stylishly~casual thing going on for both covers thank goodness that they didn’t wear these for the pv♥ itself :P!
