Kasai Tomomi Yaketa shashinshuu

Kasai Tomomi Yaketa shashinshuu with posterFor Kasai fans the wait for her debut solo shashinshuu has been long and even a bit bumpy as you’re all probably aware of the grossly misguided first attempt at its release which included imagery of which had literally stepped over the line of the morally correct and whether it had been purely for shock or that of a publicity stunt gone terribly wrong that’s all been shelved permanently into the past as Kasai’s photo collection of the here and now with the release of “Yaketa?” presents pure idol beauty and joy which I imagine is exactly what fans had been clamoring for the first time around.

Kasai Tomomi Yaketa shashinshuu...

“Yaketa?” is a soft cover book which comes dressed in a outer dust jacket with a semi clear obi, it measures approximately 10 1/8” x 7 1/8” and is published by Kodansha. Above is photographed the real front and back covers which are hidden beneath its dust jacket which sits just to the right of the book and as some of AKB’s photo collections of the past have had a fair share of  titles presenting everything from the interesting to the mind boggling to the slightly odd to the creative…..Kasai’s effort here is simply titled “Yaketa?” Now I’m sure AkiP (who’s notably titled as the total producer) has very specific reasons behind the why(s) of such a title but for now I’ll simply take a stab of a guess that it has either something to do with the fact that Hawaii is naturally warm/hot in climate which instantly greets visitors to our island chain paradise so you know as Kasai was here for her photo shoot she definitely felt the warmth/ heat of our island sunshine or perhaps the ‘burning’ (was on fire) of a title is in reference to just how beautifully~hot Kasai is =P…okay so the latter albeit absolutely true is just a bit of silliness on my part, and yet after perusing “Yaketa?” the whole Kasai was on fire as in she was absolutely smokin’ hot in Hawaii seems not so far fetched after alll :D!

“Yaketa?” also includes a two side poster as I’ve photographed each side just below:

Kasai Tomomi Yaketa shashinshuu poster side a

Now you can really consider Kasai’s first shashinshuu as being a photo diary encompassing many of the places to visit and experience if one were to planning on coming to Hawaii and more specifically the island of Oahu as Kasai’s time here was spent on this island exclusively or at the very least by all of the photographs herein. What’s also nice is how her shashinshuu has notations of the whereabouts on Oahu in which each section photos pertains, making the need for a where’s  Waldo? Kasai? moment(s) totally unnecessary for the curious =D. From the most iconic views of Diamond Head to our North Shore to the shores of Ala Moana, to Chinatown to Lanikai to Kaneohe to Waimanalo to Kaimuki and of course to Waikiki….Kasai’s shashinshuu takes you literally on a 360 of Oahu visiting some of our most popular and beautiful beaches which include shopping ventures, notable landmarks as well as one must do while in Hawaii which means surfing lessons of course! Admittedly I can’t even manage balancing upon a skateboard on land =P but still I encourage all of the much more agility blessed out there to take on the challenge ^^.

So I actually began scanning “Yaketa?” earlier this week however wasn’t able to finish it until today 😄 so while I’d hoped to have this up and posted much sooner, still better late than never right =). And to enjoy Kasai’s first shashinshuu even more, please support her by ordering the real thing \(^o^)/!!!

Taken at Oahu’s North Shore it’s the place to be when a large swell arrives as the North Shore sees our island’s biggest waves for onlookers and thrill seekers alike whom dare to challenge these at times humongous waves!

On your way up to the North Shore Haleiwa Beach Park offers a great chance at seeing turtles and the beaches here are typically less crowded than say Waikiki or Ala Moana.

Also highly recommended is a visit to Hanauma Bay which is just a short drive eastward from Waikiki as you approach Oahu’s eastern tip. Tuesdays are usually their closed day so be sure to check current hours and scheduling before you visit.

This is a stunning book! The use of your equally stunning local scenery is really superb, isn’t it. This really showcases her beauty to the max. I’ve always liked her and was shaken by the rather grubby incident that could easily have destroyed her. Fortunately she survived, and long may she thrive! Thank you for scanning.

    • Good to have that lack in judgement moment behind her now and they wisely waited awhile before rescheduling her books release which was smart I think. Un they really captured so much of Oahu’s natural beauty choosing wonderful and iconic places to photo shoot with of course Kasai looking gorgeous as always!! It’s like a come to Hawaii travel brochure too and the prettiest of its kind.

Thank you! It’s a great book and Kasai looks gorgeous, though I miss the mandatory butt shot XD.

    • Haha most observative of you! A bit of a rarity here with the absence of any usually ‘ineviable’ butt photos =P…un totally agree Kasai’s shashinshuu is gorgeous and to have this location right here at home makes it extra special!!

:O I can’t believe I never made a comment in this one. I came here looking for a photo from this PB to show Derek and then noticed I never made a comment. Silly me. I’m talking about this one:

So, as I was writing to him a moment ago, I love this PB. I got it along with Miichan’s last week. And it’s all thanks to you, because I would probably not give this much attention, I was never much of a Kasai fan. Actually, it feels like I say that too much. Let me correct. I was always a Kasai fan in denial. But who am I to not click through to a PB when it just shows up in my e-mail inbox as one of your posts? Anyway, I love this PB, and especially this photo. Really, it’s the prettiest face I’ve seen and I’ll remember it forever. And that’s as much fanboying as you’ll ever get out of me, unless you make an Erepyon post.

Something you said caught my attention though, you said AkiP is credited as “Total Producer” and I was wondering what that meant. Did he decide to make sure this PB was as great as it is, and that’s why there’s not a bad photo in sight? (except for the disappointing lack of the “inevitable” butt shot) Was this his way of making sure no stupid controversies got in the way this time? Then I noticed he’s also the “Total Producer” for Mayuyu, Kojiharu, Takamina, Sasshi, so it’s nothing special. But I liked thinking it was special…

    • Haha now that’s two notable responses to the surprising omission of the ‘inevitable’ butt photo =P! And for the record, Kasai~♥ is the owner of a quite shapely butt if I may say so =D…and I do like your reasoning for its non-appearance in this shashinshuu as playing it safe was probably the best medicine for further leaving the past as just that.

Oh 89 is a gorgeous close-up!! And Kasai with little to no makeup is best as she’s so blessed with natural beauty so really no need for much if any of that.

Ohhhh your shashinshuu have arrived!!~! I love that you got Kasai’s too and I was a bit unsure of how you felt about her but now you’ve confessed =D….she’d captured my attention with her baby~voice♥ alone and what really did it was a taste of the Tomo’s pairing with Queen & Elizabeth…a super hero tie in who would have thunk it?

      https://morningberryz48.wordpress.com/2010/04/08/queen-elizabeth%E3%80%8Clove%E2%99%A5wars%E3%80%8D-is/

Still one of my most favorites from AKB♥….sorry I never got around to replacing any of the media in that post above as that was done during the Vox-days =/. And I’m always excited for any Aggressive-Girl-Rock-N-Roll so it was really the perfect storm for me becoming aware of her individually. I hadn’t seen much of her in shows so then a couple years later their bowling took it to greater heights and their format was just so out there making it still one of my most cherished AKB DVDs 😀 !

      https://morningberryz48.wordpress.com/2012/04/21/akbowlingfrom-gutters-to-dishing-the-dirt-on-others-and-the-dreaded-batsu-drink-what-possibly-could-go-wrong/

U~n I was really surprised initially to see that even ex-AKB girls are still receiving the full AkiP production treatment ~* which is really great for the fans and idols as everyone wins with his guidance ^^.

Speaking of ex-AKB girls, did you know there’s now a “Maeda Atsuko 1st LIVE – SEVENTH CHORD”? I’m a (bit) lot behind on Acchan’s solo career, I didn’t even know she had enough songs to fill a setlist. Apparently she does.

The bowling post looks so much fun, opens up with some classic MB screencaps =D I haven’t seen this, I’ll take a better look later.

        • Wow I had no idea and I so hope ~* she’ll be releasing a concert!! I wonder if she’ll be performing classic AKB songs too? Her solo career is still a bit tiny and yet I guess it could be enough.

NOthing like batsu-mischief and then those personal revelations between the girls as part of one of the games and the gloves are definitely off….the most fun idol bowling I’ve seen to date although it’s not like I’ve seen a lot =P. I hope it brings a smile ~* to you, oh yeah it opens with a bit of inside humor and you know just how weird I truly am 😀 .
