ARASHI Bitterrsweet LE & RE CD singles

Remember ARASHI’s~♥ days of “PIKA☆☆NCHI DOUBLE?” their enchanting songs of the likes of “Wish”, “Hero”, “Happiness” and “Love so sweet” just to lick the tip of the iceberg so to speak (。ーωー。)♪!!~!How music just didn’t get any better and each melodies’ appeal equally as emotionally engulfing, each in their own right all the while you lay in a state of giddy euphoria?

Remember falling head over heels in ~♥~ at moments notice as the boys of ARASHI were first introduced to you?

Remember your very first favorite member crush? No question right! Mine’s no doubt was Nino (still is) for his undeniable talents which are ever far reaching along with his undeniable handsomeness although the non-stop ‘pestering’ of one smolderingly sexy Matsujun (whom I always seem to be watching in dramas maybe tied with Nino for #1?) or the likes of Aiba’s heart (Yeah his letter to his group-mates while he endurd through a great sickness and extended time away still moves me (*´∀`*) ♪ deeply), or Riida’s incredible humility and OF COURSE his immaculate vocals which are tops in the group not to mention his impeccable timing for humor…sometimes unexpected, and YES! there is Sho-kun whom is the very essence of all that is animal magnetism in a man and you know I was never really a big fan of the rap genre until Sho hit me with his ………(゜∀゜)………。!

Okay getting back to your very first member crush and How you’d seek him out if only with your eyes fixed, mesmerized whether it be a live or one of their dashingly playful music videos…the nuances of his voice and demeanor and oh yes that sexy body I won’t be ashamed to say!

And while the boys have long since grown up into men and at times their songs and personalities likewise. Isn’t so wonderful, whether it be a single note, a jingle or even a slight nuance of gesture in how there are definite trigger moments ~* you know where we’re suddenly cast back without prior consent into a reoccurring nostalgia of days past. Such was for me with ARASHI’s latest single titled “Bittersweet.” And it may be ironic to say, but it actually wasn’t the title track which appears here with the LE version along with the full compliments of a dreamily directed pv, but rather it was the main coupling with song (and I say ‘main’ as the RE features two exclusive coupling songs in “Sync” and “Motto, imayori” both mind you well worth your years, heart and endearment~! But upon hearing “Road to Glory” for the very first time is clicked on something familiar from the past…that boundless enthusiasm coupled with THEIR sound for a lack of sounding any more cornier than I already admittedly am =P! And yet when you really listen to “Road to Glory” doesn’t it really remind you of classic ARASHI~♡? Okay maybe it’s just me, but I just thought I’d nudge you what I was feeling as I first clicked ~* play today =D.

~ARASHI “Bittersweet” (pv)~

Okay granted it doesn’t take a whole lot to make the guys heavenly desirable but take for instance this music video for “Bittersweet” which doubles seamlessly as a hot guy fashion montage, like what to wear upon a train if one were wanting to attract eyes, lips and hips alike…and well okay all kidding aside (although I was serious there (._.;)! ) the lighting nuances, dreamy animation and camera magic here are all like the coziest of mittens you’ve ever donned as this entire pv acts out like a picturesque window into ARASHI in still and yet vividly moving life~. Seriously I cannot count the instances where any screen cap here would also easily double as art…it’s that memorably and beautifully shot with purpose.

although i’m a huge SMAP and Kinki Kids fan,the group is almost everywhere.Basically and personally,i despised Mastumoto Jun because he became the poster boy of the group and always gets the girl in the end unlike Ninomiya Kazunari or Sakurai Sho which they often played clueless guy roles but alas,Ohno Satoshi always falls behind of the group.Somehow he’s not too bit popular than the rest,IMO.

    • Awesome you love so many Johnny’s groups too \(^o^)/!!! SMAP definitely goes back with me the farthest and the Kinki Kids are amazing vocalists and I loved their music program too which was so well done! SMAPxSMAP is still king though!!! Their skits, wacky games, undercover adventures, musical guest over the years!! and of course their Bistro segment is my favorite to watch with countless amazing guests of honor attending over their run! U~n Riida somehow doesn’t get equal attention overall and yet he’s without question the strongest vocalist in the group and he does have a sweet personality for sure. Matsujun, ah I do love him though!!! I do get what you’re saying though and yet I’m hopelessly endeared =P and my favorite go to drama of his would still have to be “Hana yori dango” which also features a girl crush of mine’s in the cute and greatly talented Inoue Mao. Nino is actually my long standing favorite member of ARASHI as I’ve written in my ARASHI member rankings here over the years and I do think that he’s by far the most talented actor and perhaps even the most talented overall as he’s capable of so much more with his compositions, musicianship and more!! Thank you for sharing ~♥~ your thoughts ^^.

Catchy song and such a beautiful video. Your screen caps certainly highlight the artistry that went into this. And Matsumoto Jun makes a perfect heartbroken chocolatier!

    • Hi Philip! Thank you sooooo much for linking me to Matsujun’s drama and “Bitersweet” is so perfect for it as its theme song!! I’ve already ordered the drama set and a drama watching marathon is set for this weekend if it arrives in time =). So happy you enjoyed the song and production here too as both are most gorgeous!

HI! That’s wonderful. I can’t wait to hear your views on the drama. I love it, and can see why it was so popular. You never know, by the end of the weekend you might find yourself running to the nearest store to buy armloads of the finest chocolate they have in stock! I’m going to watch an episode now.

        • I was looking at the drama’s viewer rating and you’re so right on that it held a high rating throughout as many dramas tend to taper off a bit with viewership. The director has such a fun knack for the surreal and comedic moments for the characters….you can just tell that this is going to be one of the great dramas from right away! Ah I may be odd that way that chocolate just has never enticed me like everyone else on earth lol =P ….but as you say you never know =D. Hmm…the art of chocolate. Have a wonderful evening taking in the drama~♥! I wonder if you may be finished before I get mine as dramas are so addictive that way ^^.

I think you’ll finish viewing before me as I’m also watching AKBingo and MoMusu/H!P concerts too (latest was Aya the Witch, for about the 7th time. It has that truly delightful moment when she forgets to start singing ‘Kanousei no michi’, which is one of my favourites from her songbook). As the chocolate theme hasn’t deterred you, I reckon you’d be just as keen to watch a Matsumoto Jun drama even if it was called ‘Heartbroken Noni-juice Vendor’! Hope you get on okay at work. The weekend is not too far away…

            • A~h I remember that! =) There’s some wonderful candidness in her “Live in Shanghai” DVD too and it’s such an intimate venue it’s such a unique performance. “Aya the Witch” is an awesome concert!!!…..particularly love “hitori”, “Dokki doki! Love Mail”, “Love namida iro”, “Kanousei no mich” (agreed one of her very best songs!!) and “Egao ni namida…” Did you manage to purchase her “Naked Songs” album we spoke about awhile back?….of course getting the LE is of most importance for its DVD’s contents which are some of the best. LOL you know me all too well as a noni-theme with Matsujun♥ would be a must see drama without question! ^^

HI! Yes, I have ‘Naked Songs’: just the basic CD version. It’s lovely. I’ve just checked and see the DVD version is still available. The only concert I don’t have is Double Rainbow. I thought I did, but I’ve just reminded myself that I don’t. I have all the other concerts, and love them. ‘Shanghai’ is indeed a very intimate concert, and it’s filmed slightly differently from the others so that it feels like a fan recorded it. But I love ‘Aya the Witch’ a lot. She’s on fine form throughout, and there’s the usual great connection with the audience. Such a shame she no longer performs…
