So you just lost to your cat and then he had the audacity to even show you his hand after you just folded like a cheap hooker who got hit in the stomach by some fat guy with sores on his face!!….(thank you! Joey Tribbiani! for that wacky poker sentiment! “Friends” junkie here!~!=D). And Kitty’s got nothing for crying out loud!! =O Seriously though, how does one ‘successfully’ lose to a cat?? (*´艸`)！、….in any case what I’m getting at begins with the notion that I’m one who can most certainly embrace the now and then and again odd book title whether ‘secretly’ symbolic of some deeper meaning or just plain wacky…you know, just to get a kick out of throwing the reader/page peruser (today’s made up word =D) a left hook out of nonsensical land (。ーωー。)笑。And yet I’ve taken Sasshi’s♡ ‘first shashinshuu’ (will get to that bit soon) around the block more than a few times and I’m yet to catch a glimpse of that deeper (for lack of a deeper word =P) meaning behind its very interesting title: “Neko ni maketa” (“Lost to a cat”). Okay well if you were the proud owner of a poker playing cat no doubt you wouldn’t be reading this as you’d most certainly be off somewhere making your millions while making the late night program rounds or perhaps it’d be more like Rain Man where Kitty would be hitting it with the high rollers in Vegas counting cards and such and really what sort of security mind would even suspect Kitty at the black jack tables, I mean what would be Kitty’s tell?…lick right paw twice for hit…cleans own butt for stand? Hm..I’ve seemed to have gotten way off the path here but for what it’s now worth let’s look at some other random head scratching images….

~Dirty* thoughts w/ Sasshi♡~
Sorry =P, now getting back to that ‘first shashinshuu’ notation as it’s read on the book’s obi, perhaps like me you too are very much puzzled by this but at best what I can gather from what appears to be a sort of double meaning behind the whole ‘photo book’ meaning in Japan is that, surely while Sasshi’s ‘first photo book’ (shashinshuu literally means photo book too) “Sashiko” which was released prior to this book and also had declared itself to be her very ‘first photo book’, that one was a mixture of abundant text and photos while this book which is her ‘first shashinshuu’ (versus ‘first photo book’) albeit both descriptions mean the exact same thing, is void of text (other than the credits notation) and is purely comprised of photos as it seems that in Japan a ‘photo book’ and a ‘shashinshuu’ are actually two different formats of publication. (that was like the worst run on ‘sentence’ like ever wasn’t it? and somewhere my English teachers are denying my ever having spent any time in their respective classrooms (・д・`*)！！！）Anyhow, additionally ‘photo books’ seem to also be of a much smaller size as in digest size measuring just 8.3 x 5.9 inches while shashinshuu typically (but not always) are of the much larger A4 ‘standard size’.
Just above is Sasshi’s ‘(I) lost to a cat’ Shashinshuu (soft cover) without its outer dust jacket and it’s really cool as it’s a full gateway styled image which covers across both front and back covers in entirety which is somewhat of a rarity, well maybe rarity is a too strong word but in any case most shashinshuu tend to have solid colored front and back covers with just just the title and photographer’s text upon them so I always love it whenever there’s a photo(s) hidden underneath there =). Also notable is just how thick this shashinshuu is!!..as in 164 pages thick!!…so after a little over 6 hours of scanning over the past weekend I can now finally post these up ^^. But first take a few seconds to ponder the whole ‘neko’ title as perhaps this hidden image beneath the outer jacket can provide a few clues…?? Oh well, maybe not…(^q^)!
Shot in Okinawa, the photos contained herein are much more typical too of a shashinshuu as Sasshi’s “Sashiko” (first photo book) release wasn’t anywhere near as…let’s just say sensual, alluring, sassy, sexual even….well it’s much more playful and naughty* to say the least although that’s just a tinny portion here as the whole for the most part is much more cutely fashionable and oh so verrrrrry adorable and fun with Sasshi’s personality shining~*, so in parallel to a one night fling….. (I wouldn’t know about those (;゜□゜)！！）the nearer you get to the end the more likely you are to see Sasshi’s underwear and such, just saying….(。ーωー。)笑。
First though, here are scans of the two side poster included with my book:

Hum, I don’t know why I didn’t consider this before, but Japan has its fair share of idioms including animals such as the cat…so perhaps ‘losing to a cat’ may have idiomatic meaning I wonder??
Let’s see there’s:
..which literally says: “Like a borrowed cat” and its meaning is to be as shy and quiet as a kitten.
..which literally says: “Even cats and rice ladles” and its meaning says something along the lines of everybody and his/ her mother or brother.
..which literally says: “a gold coin before a cat” which means pearls before swine. Koban is an early currency coin used before the Meiji restoration of 1868 and this expression suggests that not everyone can appreciate an object on the same degree.
..which literally means: “a cat’s forehead” which refers to the tiny size of a cat’s forehead with this expression being in reference to an inadequacy in space.
..which literally means: “One is willing to accept even the helping hand of a cat, it implies to being extremely shorthanded and swamped in work. The reason for the cat reference is is due to the general ways in which cats would be not very useful to assisting humans.
Well, sadly no idiom for ‘losing to a cat’ though but anyway I so love idioms…=D.

Just one of several included here =)
And could Sasshi be giving Mayuyu a run for her cheeks um money? Still this one’s a ‘subtle’ approach as idol butt photos via shashinshuu normally equate to an entire page being dedicated to said idol’s butt and nothing else, so kudos to the photographer for the taking the cheek much less traveled ;).
