It’s that haunting time of year again!! And you may remember HYDE’s Halloween project dubbed the Halloween Junky Orchestra where he assembled an amazing cast of artists who came together to create pretty much the most fantastic Halloween themed anthem like ever!!!

Now fast forward to this year’s frightful festivities as on October the 16th HYDE released a reprise of sorts or rather a supped up version of last year’s Halloween Junky Orchestra as this time around the included LE DVD contains in addition to last year’s original full length music video, an all new HYDE featured version…a HYDE featured version with lyrics as well as a very entertaining and in depth making of clip~! which is most awesome~! Just reminds us that whether in dark makeup or not, HYDE is incredibly hot and oh~soooo handsome~♥!!!!

Halloween Junky Orchestra “Halloween Party” 2013 release can be ordered @ Cdjapan.

Halloween Junky Orchestra Halloween Party 2013 release with LE DVDSo here’s the 2013 version release of “Halloween Party” which comes housed in an outer slip case, unfortunately no amazing ~* poster extra this time around but nonetheless the additional content on this year’s DVD makes it also a must have like last season’s amazing production.

What I’ve decided to do here is revamp last year’s post for “Halloween Party” as I’ve kept all of last year’s content here intact while adding to it this year’s DVD extras which are as aforementioned brand spanking new for 2013. So the original full length music video can be found and viewed by scrolling down further into what will eventually become the original (last year’s) posting. Here atop I’ll be adding this year’s booklet scans as well as all of the new content from this year’s DVD =D.

Now if only you could get your cat(s) to dance along with U =D.

~”Halloween Party” feat. HYDE version (music video)~

This all new version has HYDE himself going anime on screen as he is accompanied this time around with a backing dance troupe of skeletal cats!! It’s a most cool alternate take on last year’s masterpiece which also features a vast array of shuffling in and out backgrounds to go along with all of the dance choreography macabre!

~Halloween Junky Orchestra “Halloween Party” (making)~

Here HYDE himself talks us through everything from character development, designs and concepts to what it took to put together this massive project!!! The sets in themselves are quite amazing as one would expect an abundance of CGs here, however this making of dispels any of that as much of the sets are entire full scale atmospheres complete with buildings and more props that you can shake a bone @! The makeup…so cool too and if you enjoyed the original music video (posted a bit later here if you scroll down much further) then checking out its making of is indeed a must see.

HYDE's Dead Man PartyHalloween Junky Orchestra Halloween Party LE with DVD & first press poster

This release is really amaZing~*~~*!!! Windowed slip case, panoramic art gracing the jewel cases’ backing, second to none Halloween video clip~♥ and ohhhh that first press poster?

Yep it’s not made of the typical paper sort…..no no no I’m not quite certain but it’s much more like a vinyl print I’d have to guess and in its full gloss so ghoul~ly beautiful! (photographed above). I’ve just never seen such quality in a poster extra release ever!!..and I’ve gotten a lot of posters before! This one’s of the highest quality!!!

Halloween Junky Orchestra Halloween Party case scan (outer)

Somehow fittingly the scan below of the inner jewel case has taken on an obscured and ghostly representation…of course it’s just the spacing caused by the clear plastic jewel casing and yet……a rather fun effect as I’ve never scanned one of these before.

Great post! What wonderful packaging. Enjoyed the animation too.

    • It was a nice new spin ~* to go all animated with HYDE♥ being the focus =D…and great that they recorded an all new track for this single too. The dancing skeletal cats are a blast!!..so cool!! OMG is this based on those zombie movies?? I have the box set collection for these zombie movies which had a like title(s) to them…awesome movies really. Okay. If I get eaten by zombies you’ll only have yourself to blame =P!!..oh and by the way does the UK celebrate Halloween like in wild fashion?? Just curious as I’d never truly know and are you a hand out candy guy or a go out to the pubs type? Still some of my friends have outgrown the tradition totally as they turn out the noticeable lights and just keep inside avoiding the candy hungry masses =P….but it can be so fun even if you’ve outgrown it for the most part to just hand out candy all night just to see all of the creative…cute….outrageous and gross costumes that’ll come up to your door on this one night only!!!! I’m not sure if you’ve heard about the Halloween antics on Maui or here on Oahu in Waikiki as it’s been pretty wild….like the most bizarre costume I’ve ever seen in Waikiki was years ago when I was little and it was some dude dressed in this enormous and intricate costume which was….well a giant pile of poop as I crossed paths as he was crossing the street right beside me!!!! =O He had fake flies all springing out of it and all and it appeared all slimy and well…..gross!! so he really accomplished his Halloween ‘wish’ to creep everyone around him out lol (゜Д゜;)!!!!Anyway I’ve got to get ready for tonight…sorry I’ve been such a lame correspondent lately please don’t hate me =(….and as for the candy?….I’m not a big candy lover like when I was little so for me it’s much more for the festivities and friends~♥ o(*´∀`)o゛~*~♥~。and well for the one annual opportunity to dress up and stuff and pretend that I have bigger boobs (amazing what a costume can do!) =P.

Hi there! I love 28 Days?Weeks later. The street game looks amazing (saw it on TV the other night, which is how I heard of it). I’d really love to take part, although I’d be less worried by the zombies than the inner city locals who hang around the streets at night! As for Halloween, we imported that from you guys! When I was growing up it was just another day and was only celebrated by people who believed they were witches. Apart from some episodes of Scooby-Doo (probably) I don’t think it was until E.T. hit the screens the the Brits became interested in celebrating it. We have Bonfire Night on the 5th Nov (remembering a thwarted attempt to blow up parliament), which has always been a big thing, with firework displays and people setting off fireworks in their backyards. In fact, Halloween only really took off after the Harry Potter books became popular. There’s not usually much trick or treating round here, if there is, the parents are accompanying the kids and they only knock at the doors of participating houses. In some towns and cities the kids can go a bit too far and end up terrorising people: the Brits are good at that! (a couple of summers back the youth of the UK went mad and started smashing up, looting and setting fire to city centre shops over several nights: the police have water cannon on standby in case it happens again). No, I was unaware of Hawaii’s amazing Halloweens. I must look up some photos. By the way, have you seen the movie ‘Sean of the Dead’? It’s an excellent zombie comedy and should be at your local video store. (You’ll have seen Simon Pegg in the recent Star Trek movies as well as the movie with Kirsten Dunst in How to Lose Friends and Alienate people.) There’s one scene set to Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now which is…Well, I’ll leave you to decide! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EkWW0gh2Ds
So what did you dress up as for Halloween?!

        • Those are the movies! I thought they were done so well and they really genuinely made you jump out of your seat and cover your eyes up!! Ahhh E.T.and they had the whole Halloween scene =) love that movie even though it always makes me cry. OMG that’s such a fun idea, well you know to put a new spin on such a crazy thing that those people tried to do to your parliament =O. OH that’s not good, Halloween should be about fun and dressing up and candy, it’s a shame that some would do such terrible things =(. I’m thinking this must be a comedy on the undead genre? Looks pretty wild and it took all of that to take down an old man zombie and yet there looks to be a ton of zombies just outside of that bar…and I can’t believe that that girl threw a dart into her friend’s head =O!!…. I’ve heard of this movie but haven’t watched it yet, I’ll be checking Amazon for it thank you ~* for the recommendation =). This year I went with a nurse look, was pretty easy to put together and there’s some really fashionable looks which are so cute!..and it was quite simple to get ready for although by night’s end I became known as ‘slutty nurse’ due to the shorter skirt I had chosen…(^q^)! And some guys rolling on the ground saying that they’re ‘..hurt’ and may need CPR was unexpected but still well no way I would have gotten the plain look as it’s Halloween so you have to go for something a lot more fun =)!

Your Halloween sounded great fun! I hope you enjoy Sean of the Dead. It’s done so well (i.e. the zombie genre is taken very seriously), and is very funny too. (Their other movies, such as Hot Fuzz, about a super-effecient policeman sent from London to work in a small town, is made with the same care. There’s a running gag in their movies about garden fences, and the quickest way to get over or through them!) There’s a guy I got talking to in a charity shop (thrift store) in Cambridge while I was looking through the LPs. He was an extra in Sean of the Dead among other things, but I’ve never been able to spot him, possibly because of the gore! Oh, I also forget to mention John Carpenter’s movie Halloween, which helped to introduce the UK to the possibilities of October 31st!

            • Really in growing up Halloween has gone from candy to just dressing up =D…really was a fun night! Omg I saw a movie trailer not too long ago for a rather recent release where this guy was running and he went right through a fence =O!!…I’m thinking it was the same producers/cast maybe? Sean of the Dead also got the thumbs up when I mentioned it to some friends at work, it seems to be a most popular movie and with your recommendation I’m sure it’s going to be great!! Ohhhh the Halloween series creep me out lol!!! Well done, almost too well done =O!

                Hi there,
So great you’ll be watching Sean of the Dead. Thought this might be useful (or baffling). It’s the TV show from the late 90s in which the SOTD actors and director cut their teeth. The visual style is pretty much the same as in the movies, except here there are loads of references to other shows and movie, from Scooby Doo to, well…everything. I think the humour is international enough to cross the Atlantic and halfway across the Pacific. One thing: I’ve noticed YouTube are started to put even more adverts at the start of some clips. This one had a two minute block of them at the start.

I found a double feature version so it has something called “Hot fuzz” on it as well, not sure what that is but hopefully it’s good too. I absolutely love any type of pop culture references in humor \(^O^)/.

Hot Fuzz is excellent too, and also features an instalment in the running gag with garden fences. It’s basically about a super-efficient City cop who’s transferred to a rural job. Watch out for an appearance from former James Bond actor Timothy Dalton. I hope you enjoy both movies.

Hi mb! I’ve completely lost the thread of our conversation about doramas, so will continue it here… Have now finished watching ‘Ryusei no kizuna’. You were right: it’s a fantastic series. The tension cranked up as it went along, becoming unbearable in ep 9. I never worked out the true culprit, but I don’t think that mattered. The acting was excellent, and I loved the mini-movies in which the scams were featured. Toda Erika’s lipgloss was never less than perfect either….Not sure what to watch now. I had Liar Game lined up, but then I saw Majisuka Gakuen with proper English translations, so may watch the 1st and 3rd series of that again, although the adverts are a pain. What I’d really like to watch is something along the lines of boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love, boy and girl are separated for ever and as a result the rest of their lives have a sadness hanging over them. The perfect plot for me is the one for 5 Centimetres of Snow (boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love etc…) Amazing animation aside, that’s such a wonderfully poignant little movie. Do you know any doramas with that sort of theme? I quite enjoyed Sky of Love (Koizora), with Aragaki Yui, although I couldn’t really understand what she saw in Hiro. But that’s love, I suppose.

                • So happy you enjoyed “Ryusei no kizuna!” Really one of the great drama series and so true how the direction with all of those little detours in plot and story surrounded the main build up over the episodes till the end where I remember feeling that there was no way that I was waiting to watch the next episode even on some late nights back then when I should have been fast asleep already…the great ones really get you hooked like that! Hmm….I’m not coming up with an exact match for that premise just yet but I’ve now just thought about this movie which is a must see, really a must see. I believe it later or beforehand became/was a drama series too but I’ve only watched the movie version which is cinematic drama perfection ~*. It’s called “Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu” starring Osawa Takao and Shibasaki Kou, both just such talented and versatile actors in their own right. I have the Japanese DVD version but I’m thinking something this great has to be fan subbed to somewhere, I do hope. I’d say watch the movie version so that we can better talk about it later if you do get to watch it, I promise you WILL be moved emotionally so powerfully by its story and characters as the storyline develops towards what you just can’t imagine to be…..I can’t say anymore or I’ll spoil it xD. I promise though, it’s a must see….and be sure to have the tissues ready.
