Although I’ve had Charmy’s latest shashinshuu for months I’ve just not gotten around to scanning it until today and while her pb releases may have been coming around with a bit less frequency they’re definitely every bit as alluring, cute and well worth their wait.
Idols into their 20’s (some earlier) inevitably make that advertised leap into an adulthood image and while it’s never really purely about age at all as it’s much more about perception, nonetheless the new light shone can either be ground moving or subtle that depending purely on the idol’s persona leading up till then. Different photographers also play a major role in this while some have a natural knack for the daring others still opt for a playful elegance with both resulting in the visual realization that your favorite idols are indeed grown/growing up.
“Hanagokoro” opts for the latter and the presentation is 110% beautiful with a natural all around vibe of the gorgeous girl next door appeal, that with Charmy’s wardrobe working purely in sync (no costumes) the results are tastefully sexy all the while never losing the girl inside we’ve literally watched grow up before our eyes.
And after all these years, Charmy’s still doing exactly just that as her nick suggests, charming us with an appeal and attraction undeniable. Add in her anime~vocal tones which thankfully aren’t growing up anytime soon into the mix, and there you have it…..the true reasoning for her longevity within our idol loving hearts and here with “Hanagokoro” that love’s got no end anywhere near in sight~.
Including Charmy’s collaboration with Sayu, above, her complete shashinshuu collection which I’ve collected over the years.
One of the first things I do by habit whenever I receive any photo book is to take a peek under its outer dust jacket cover to see if a ‘hidden’ true cover exists and while the majority of photo books don’t produce these hidden photo covers (sometimes they’re even panoramic) here “Hanagokoro” doesn’t disappoint!! And I think in a lot of ways these shots of Charmy in white and pink up against a pure darkened background trumps the outer jacket’s readily visible cover(s) twofold.
