~La La La Love Song (piano solo)~
There’s a great possibility that you’ve watched this one too! And there are those special dramas which further draw and endear themselves to the viewer and a few weeks ago I found myself again reliving the drama “Long Vacation” as I’ve watched it quite a few times since its broadcast =) and it’s most wonderful that till this day it hasn’t fallen ill to that sense of ‘dated’ or stuck in an era as great love/ relationship stories can be truly timeless,…when of course the storytelling and development of characters is at a premium in writing and talents respectfully.
So today just a bit of pic~spam of one of drama’s most memorable couples to the tune of its ever endearing soundtrack beginning with of course “Minami’s” song (Close to you) which Sena performs and repeatedly appears in poignant moments throughout.

While drama theme songs (here it’s Kubota Toshinobu’s “La La La Love Song” which was most awesome and addictive!!) can really heighten a drama’s overall appeal there are in addition those which tug relentlessly at one’s heart~strings, you know those songs appearing at just the right moment to invoke inevitable tears and emotions~.
Reoccurring drama theme songs (usually the instrumental ones) when placed just right can be so symbolic of the atmosphere of scene in which they’re supporting where the viewer immediately senses that a sadness, happiness, melancholy, aloof~ness or one from many other emotions are occurring or about to occur in scene =). “Long Vacation” was masterful in this sense too where individual melodies grow reminiscent of specific scenes and characters.
~Minami- Piano Piece of Sena~
Everything builds up to Sena’s miracle appearing in Minami’s actions towards him (one of the most touching scenes in dramas ever!) and nearing the climax is Sena’s mesmerizing performance in the competition (mp3 and sheet music above). I actually have two different performances of Sena’s masterpiece however here I chose the version which I liked a bit more….it was really miniscule though as both versions are very similar in interpretation of the music.
Still to this day one of my most beloved♥ dramas all time, “Long Vacation”, and it’s always worth revisiting as I’m always touched equally as to my very first experience seeing this series all those years ago.

La la love song! I had that in my Facebook page for the longest time!! And that scene with them talking turning to mad kissing you showed last is a clip I still have on my iPad as the most romantic scene I know of. I have the DVDs of the series because of you, and now I want to watch it again right now!

I get that urge to rewatch this particular drama series every so often actually quite often and more than any other series…and I still love every scene and this story still so fun, heartwarming, relatable with a top notch cast and the characters all so well written. Hmm maybe you’ll get the urge to rewatch too (=? La la la love song such a powerful and memorable song! That’s so great u had that on your Facebook! The solo piano versions here for La la la love song are both by Sumi Seiko (they’re both so diffferent!) and I took out a few soundtracks to make this post. She’s also performing Minami-Piano Piece of Sena and I have another performance but I thought her version to be a tinny bit better. I so agree that this series has the most romantic scene ever!!! Makes you smile and cry so much!! I loved rewatching and then rewatching again in order to cap for this post a chronological stream of endearing images….I wonder we may be the two most attached and enchanted by this drama~♡?
