I honestly haven’t been this moved and impressed by a solo artists’ release in ages and while Acchan has steadily and surely endeared herself to me there’s always that singular moment when you fully realize just how much and liken it to a coronation of one of your most favorite of idols~♥.
An speaking outside of AKB48’s music activities I most recently flirted with an Acchan coronation while viewing her drama “Q10” but to no avail it still hadn’t happened quite yet.

Now fast~forward to yesterday late afternoon as Acchan’s second solo effort had arrived and at about half way through the original music video that very epiphany had hit me…like a slap asking ‘where have you been?’ as in where has my mind been? Like Acchan’s obvious appeal and talents have always been readily recognizable and appreciated but for me just never like this before and this song! Acchan’s voice so groomed for J~pop, that tantalizingly unique tone and how she ever so slightly likens to a squeak~♥ as excitement consumes her…and that joy of performance ever present. And in “Kimi wa boku da” a flawless composition which took but a few notes to completely have me hooked, even in hindsight it’s obvious that only Acchan could make this work so perfectly~*. I could go on and on about its ‘walkin’ on sunshine’ aura and the wonderfully good vibes it creates the moment I click play~> but I’ll leave that tinkle of orgasmic♥ realization for your ears just in case you haven’t experienced this song just yet =D.
You usually only liken “nabe” to cooking/eating however here it’s Acchan’s character (Nabeko) wonderfully played alongside Suruga Taro where the premise for the music video begins and lays within for the most part his memories. A mid~day daydream of sorts while at an amusement park with his wife and son takes us back to 5 years ago to a chance meeting where he meets Nabeko, a girl whose memories still fill his mind to this day and on this day it all begins with his question wondering ‘….with all of her laughter all of her anger~♥ and spirit where’s Nabeko now and what could she be doing?’ Talent proceeding are taking place in front of a panel along with peers and while the salaryman comedy act fails miserably it’s only Nabeko who sees the humor alive in him and thereafter she initiates their friendship with ventriloquist still in hand leading to the classic drama sight of drunk girl on guy’s back returns home after much mutual understanding and drowning of sorrows alike. Their pairing stage name becomes “Wonderful” and so follows the often soul searching associated with a struggling craft viewed through rehearsals, improvisation, friends and even their lives in close quarters…..yup even Acchan’s play snoring is wonderful~* here that along with her urusai~sleeping tendencies♥!
The underlying story here proves to be how Nabeko through her ways and personality help to open up his world and mind and even with the finality of Wonderful’s ultimate failure when upstaged in a prestigious amateur contest =(, the return to present day still lingers inner thoughts of what Nabeko meant as a friend, possible girlfriend and confidant all those years ago….and in closing their once again chance encounter on this present day at this amusement park finds words of encouragement to ‘do as you like’ leaving his lips for perhaps their final meeting? although an open invitation is voiced by Nabeko after an initial cutely~clumsy re-initiation~。
An interesting dynamic with the videos for “Kimi wa boku da” is how the “drama version” rather should be watched in entirety first…me realizing this afterwards as the original music video then makes for a fond and digest~”styled” reminiscing of the drama you’ve just watched. Standing alone and beforehand however the original music video itself is absolutely cute~♥~bliss!!!…and neither here is to be missed!
My now most favorite♥ song of the year at this half point so you just knew it would be so worthy of….
..Inoue Mao~chan’s♥ music seal of approval~ヽ(。´▽`。)ノ。。♪~♪!!

Cdjapan is including an external photo extra of Acchan to go with each single you purchase and here I chose to go with “Act 1” which includes in addition to the title track two coupling with songs, their karaoke versions as well as a DVD containing the original pv, drama version pv and its making of which runs an impressive 33 minutes long!…and shows a fun look into the behind the scenes workings of Acchan and Taro~san’s comedic timing and takes along with the extensive cast as well as insight into the special chemistry needed for a two~person stage comedy act as commentated by both director and cast~.

I had no idea that there was a long version of this music video, which was always one of my favorites. Not knowing the language I could still enjoy it as a study in body language.
My friend Floyd Turbo wrote something up about it a while back. I hope he got it mostly right.

Happy to say that your friend Floyd Turbo did well with his understanding of the movie! =D btw how did you locate this old post here titled after Acchan’s character rather than the single’s title? I was so impressed by how much they put into the production here as it’s not merely a music video per say! Still one of my most favorite of solo Acchan songs without question! Nabeko…. oh Nabeko♥ such a bittersweet daydream~*! ^^*
