I remember us talking about the Beatles back in the day! 🙂

    • Which Beatles member’s your favorite♥?….I don’t think I ever asked back then =). For me it’s mostly Paul because of his solo releases too in addition to everything he wrote as a Beatle….love John and George’s solo work too! Well I love them all although I never really got into Ringo’s solo work but he was still a most essential part of the aura and personality of the Beatles~♥. I wonder if we’ll ever see the release of the “Let it be” movie.

It was really fun and nice….and I didn’t need to be carried out of an eatery this time =).

I, too, just randomly noticed it was the anniversary. I’ve mentioned this plenty of times on my blog, but The Beatles is by far my favorite band of all time. Also love John’s music! As for my favorite tune from his solo stuff, it’s one you posted here, too: #9 Dream. 🙂

    • It got a lot of media attention here as sadly the man who shot John Lennon was from Hawaii…always think how much more he could’ve done and the music we’ll never hear. U~n, The Beatles were the most versatile and innovative group ever! and just how much they revolutionized and changed forever the way music is written and produced too =). I’ve been reading some books on their history like “Beatles Songs” which is so in~depth down to the percentage of whom composed what percentage of each and every song and notes on how ideas came about and so much more….just wow~!! Abbey Road sessions is also amazing and they even include photos of actual recording session documents! W~ah! So happy we love a same song of his too ^ ^♥

I hope~* you’re doing well, haven’t spoken in awhile ne…..must be cold there now with snow? Instead of snow here we get lots of Wintertime~rain :P.

Oh right, I forgot that the shooter was from Hawaii. Yeah, it’s truly a shame when you think about what more we could’ve gotten musically. A glimpse of that being the absolutely awesome “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” from 1995 (was it?) that the remaining three worked on from John’s original demos. Er, well I don’t mean to sound educational here, I’m sure you know as much (if not more) than me! 😛 In any case, I love both those songs! I’ve read quite a few of Beatles books as well as individual books on the members and I can’t get enough. Beatles Songs is one I’ve yet to read though! I really need to get my hands on that sometime I think. Oh yeah, it has been a while hasn’t it? I noticed that our blog anniversaries were only three days apart or so — only, your blog is a year older than mine. 🙂 Happy birthday, by the way! 😛 Yeah, the snow is admittedly getting a little bit out of hand and crazy out here, hehe. But yes I’m doing very very well thank you, and I hope you are, too. 🙂
…Well, I couldn’t really imagine you not doing good, you’re pretty much the most positive person I’ve ever met! 😛

    • U~n with the anthology and extra~works being released those were so amazing too and even with a single format of “Free as a Bird”….gosh*! An “elderly” friend first introduced me to The Beatles when I was really actually young and it was funny/awkward at first as I think he maybe didn’t expect me to like them as much as he wanted…..he showed me a tape called “The Complete Beatles” then and began suggesting which album(s) I should be getting next in order. Oh god! I have soooooo many posters too :P!!! When I lived in a larger room I could display much more of them at once but sadly they’re all now in storage =/. “Beatles Songs” covers so much as it chronicles literally every song and idea really that they worked on…..it goes in depth to show whom played what on each and every recording (as we know that at times Paul actually re~recorded even Ringo’s drum parts after he had left the studio :O)….and even George’s guitar parts) and then there are the disputes between mostly John and Paul about whom did what in terms of writing. But what gets really interesting is their actual accounts as they disagree a lot, so even the “author” of each song is broken down into fractions in this book as to whom wrote what percentage of each and every song! They even talk extensively about concepts for each album….more so for their latter albums…and how the ideas came about. Sgt. Peppers being a breakthrough and how then The Beach Boys were like their rivals……and that album after “Pet Sounds” just blew The Beach boys away!! It’s amazing and interviews, outside commentary and eye~witness accounts are also included in depth….and it especially gets interesting during the “Let it Be” sessions where Billy Preston and others were purposely invited in order to hopefully ease tensions between The Beatles……just what they witnessed is also written in this book. It sheds so much light on why The Beatles inevitably broke up =(…….and actually Paul really made the first move in this sense. It’s just happy that Abbey Road was their swan song……as actually “Let it be” sat on the shelf for so long until Phil Specter tried to make it presentable as an album so it was released afterward……those visuals of them being on the rooftop……so amazing!

Thank you~♥ love~love~hug~hugs……lol our blogs are old maybe :P…..please keep warm* always love you o(*´∀`)o゛♥
