ブランネージュ フィギュア。

Kotobukiya has produced a 1/8 scale pvc figure of BlancNeige who is one of the central characters in Sega's rpg "Shining Tears." While figures that I buy are usually from anime series that I've watched or from games that I've played I actually bought this figure without ever having played this Playstation 2 rpg. I just happened to see it one day on Cdjapan's main page and it's such an eye catching figure that I went ahead and pre ordered it without knowing anything about this character. Interestingly the voice actor who portrays her in the game is Hayashibara Megumi whom I am familiar with and I actually own an album of hers as well as a couple of her singles.

Kotobukiya is one of many premier manufacturers of high quality figures and in particular their pvc statues have always been immaculately detailed from every release that I've seen from them. The box that this figure came in is quite nice but as I am a collector's nightmare when it comes to these types of figures I always take them out of the box and display them. And since I have no intention whatsoever of selling them I usually throw the box away too! 😛 But I just may keep this one along with Yuna's FF X-2 box which I stored away awhile back. Keeping an empty box when the figure will never be placed back into it seems kind of silly and with space being tight I'm still not really sure if I'll keep it.

For now she has taken over Yuna's spot atop my micro stereo system amongst some NASCAR and Denver Broncos memorabilia which is actually kind of a strange mix."Shining Tears" is actually a bit of an old release and it came out about a couple of years ago and I find it interesting that this figure was just released 5 days ago in Japan and there is an American release which will be out in late November which is priced a bit lower. Why this ice sorceress is depicted as having lost some of her clothing is a mystery to me and I probably should purchase this game as I do love rpg's a lot. I've read a few mixed reviews about this game but I always find that the best judge of anything is yourself just as long as it's not deemed unanimously bad. Good or bad , I'll still find this figure to be an attractive piece.

  2. Dark Knightingale these imports are really well crafted but I'm wondering if she's a bit over the top! Heheh the original image that I saw didn't seem so revealing. :O

I've never played this game…but I have been thinking about buying it! I really like tactical video games, and Shining Tears is a two-player one, right? That makes it rather appealing….Its actually a very nice figure, its incredibly detailed.

  4. This game's also been out for awhile so I imagine it would be priced pretty low right now. I just checked and they've been releasing these pvc figures since December of last year. 9 all together and they're all out of print already including this one that was just released this week!

Great looking figure…I'm guessing that must be some strong (and strategic) wind blowing! When it comes to collecting figures I'm much the same as you, they never stay in their packaging, as soon as I get them, they come out and go on display. I do try to keep the boxes but they generally get put in a cupboard never to be seen again…or end up in the bin when I need to make some room.

  6. Paul these imported figures are always so well made. Mischievous wind! Heheh we are both a collector's nightmare! I don't know why I've even kept a single box as I've never put a figure away once it's out on display. I have a friend who keeps everything in mint condition but most of it's in storage and I just couldn't do that. I figure you should enjoy these! No pun intended. 😛
