Bring the Puyo Puyo Pain!

I never thought that I'd want to own a Nintendo Gamecube and actually want a Wii right now but how else am I supposed to become good friends with Kajiwara Yuuta after thinking I've mastered this game only to be beaten down by the little one?! No…wait…that's Momo. And after carefully reviewing the many benefits 🙂 there appears to be no negatives unless you consider not being able to sit down for a week a bad thing. It looks like a winning idea! 😛 Unfortunately it's not available on Playstation and this ancient artifact aka my computer can't seem to play the files that Zush sent smoothly thus making achieving Puyo Puyo fever very difficult. lol. Without the fever, victory… no I mean slowing down eventual defeat will be a daunting task against the one with almost freakish skills! So this game…I must have. At least that's what the little green one says.

The game looks chaotic at times and that's just probably because I have no idea what's going on. Looks like I'm going to have to incorporate a seldom used practice…read the instructions first. The instructions appear to be only a few lines long. Heheh and I thought it was rocket science! :P

And perhaps just like in the movie Rocky IV, I should put up a fierce picture of the challenger for inspiration and to remind me of whom I'm up against as I mash the controller buttons…hmm…….but maybe not this one.

Okay this one's better as Risakochan looks like she's ready to bring the Puyo Puyo pain. The "eye of the tiger." Mouthpiece…check, gloves…check, controller…check, LCD screen…check, cut man…!!!…where's Mick when you need him?!!

And in the end this is what you'll be reduced to as you reminisce about the good old days when Puyo Puyo was just a simple game and you thought you were pretty good at it. Or perhaps this is just a picture of what your cat is doing after you've left the house. Maybe you should give your Nintendo Gamecube to him. 🙂

-The cat is just too cute!!!
I've never played Puyo Puyo… I don't even have a Nintendo system of any kind! I have a PS2, and I play a lot of "Doom" and "Evil Dead: A Fistful Of Boomstick".

I don't know what the prices for Gamecubes and the games are like where you guys are, but they are quite cheap over here in the UK, I guess everyone want's a new system. If you have a DS you can get a version on there PuyoPuyo (Puyo Pop Fever) and apparently it's got wifi play as well, so you can play against Risako from the comfort of your own room…although that may not be as fun.

  5. Zush if you achieve oneness with this game aka earning your Risako belt then you may be ready to face your master who's holding the little "Hello" snowman! 🙂

  6. Dark Knightingale you haven't even started playing Puyo Puyo and Risakochan…uh or perhaps the cat has already almost hurt you! 😛 I also only have a PS2 so Puyo Puyo seems so far away. And I really wanted to make that t-shirt at Kinko's! 😛

  7. Hotaru I hope your friend does have this game so at least one of us can play it! And then you can be on the road to achieving a zen like relationship with the game so that like Risakochan you can kick some butt and smile. 🙂 I'd have to buy this console just to play it!

  8. Paul I'm guessing that after the Wii was released the Gamecube prices must have dropped dramatically although I don't know for sure. This release is quite old though and Amazon only has used copies for sale from independent merchants affiliated with them right now. The only problem with challenging Risakochan in a game of Puyo Puyo online is there would be no way for you to get your forehead autographed or have a unibrow drawn in afterwards! lol. And it may turn out to be Tsunku in disguise that you're playing against! 😛 Imagine if he chose the screen name "Risakochan" before she did…I'd imagine that Tsunku would be in store for a genuine Risakochan beat down for real and I don't mean in a game of "Puyo Puyo!" LOL!

  10. Dark Knightingale the only problem would be that people on the street would probably keep asking you who Risakochan is. And after you show them a picture the next question would be where can I get a t-shirt like that too! Hmm…but they'd have to earn it by facing the one who rules "Puyo Puyo" land with a…Gamecube controller. lol.

    Hahaha!!!!!
I read up on the link you highlighted here.
I'd love to get a beatdown from Risako, so I can get that t-shirt about her kicking my butt you mentioned. And I'd be honored if Risako would draw an unobrow on my face in my sleep XD, although I couldnt really go out anywhere if it didnt wash off.

  12. Heheh you found your way to this post! I guess if David Lettermen had Risakochan on the show this might be the inspiration that comes from it. I wonder what would happen if you made the t-shirt beforehand and then she saw you wearing it…:O I think the Gamecube would appear quickly! If it didn't wash off right away you'd have a quite a story to tell your friends and some explaining to do! I'd link your Youtube clip here for sure! 🙂

thats a fun idea about the t-shirt…I would actually make it in advance, maybe it'd make Risako feel sorry for me and let me win. But you know Risako will still bring her game!
I suppose saying to friends that Risako drew on me could be worse. and just saying risako in that sentance is pretty fun too.

  14. Hmmm…wu-san…I think that Risakochan would still bring the pain although the t-shirt may act as a distraction for awhile. 😛 Heheh she's like the "Terminator" of Puyo Puyo so there'd be no escape! I'm thinking…crayon unibrow! 😀 That way it's non toxic and you could wear it for hours!
