モーニング娘。誕生10年記念隊シングルV「愛しき悪友へ」

I finally can stop just watching the close up version of Tanjou 10 Nen Kinentai's 2nd single "Itoshiki tomo e" as their PV DVD single which was released on August 22nd arrived last Thursday along with a few other releases. Berryz Koubou's had previously had the longest running H!P PV DVD single with "Kokuhaku no funsui hiroba" which runs about 30 minutes but the 10th anniversary group has topped that by 2 minutes.

It's funny it does look like the same house that Biyuuden shot their PV for "Koi suru angel heart" from the brief outside shot. At some point I was wondering if I'd see them in another room! lol. Nacchi has my favorite scenes as the outdoors scenery is refreshingly green and I love when she's walking in the clear water. She really looks like the Nacchi of old as she's gone back to her shorter hair style and it's really looking great on her! I was wondering why it was taking so long for Gocchin to pick up that glass that she knocked over but as I realized that it was floating in mid air, I wouldn't be in any rush to pick it up either. lol. I like how the regular version builds up visually to showing all 5 of them together in the same room with the nice lighting props and chairs that have been stacked haphazardly in the background so that they can have a mosh pit there later! lol. Overall a very elegantly shot video which matches the song perfectly. I previously wrote about the songs on this release as well as the packaging here but I'd like to reiterate how much Nacchi's & Gocchin's vocals really stand out in this song. They have so much control and character in their voices as vocal ability was a high priority in the early auditions when picking new members.

Before seeing it I thought the "5 shot ver." might be some sort of split screen PV or something of that nature. lol. Well it's far from that and is basically a single shot of the 5 members in that mosh pit room 😛 and although the camera does zoom in and out slightly it reminds me of Berryz Koubou's "Koi no jubaku" "smile ver." PV although theirs is much more fun to watch and the camera remains stationary throughout the PV.

If you've never watched this version of their PV here it is as it's been uploaded on You Tube. In case you're not familiar with the group history and notice that there's an 8th member in this PV, that's Maiha who's the only member to have graduated from the group. It's great how a stationary single take shot with no editing can be so entertaining! And can you feel all of the love for Momo?!! 🙂 They're wearing some of my all time favorite H!P outfits in this PV as well and Miya looks almost too cute to be real! Okay I seemed to have strayed off the path here a bit and now back to the 10th anniversary group. 😛

The making of segment opens with Gocchin using one of the funniest voices as she says "making of start!" lol. It's amusing as during the jacket shooting Nacchi has long hair but when they go to shoot the PV she's suddenly cut it! Seeing the members in candid moments is perhaps the greatest thing about these making of segments and at one point Kohachan can be seen having a bit of fun with a foam brick making it look incredibly…uh light. 🙂 The photo shoot footage is really a joy to watch as everyone's made up so beautifully. While Kohachan & Gakisan are the most stunning in this release it must be mentioned how there's so much Nacchi goodness here as well! Of course since she's my favorite H!P member, the more Nacchi the  better. Nacchi at one point addresses her new hairstyle which was done during the making of this release and asks what the fans think of it. I think it's perfect! One of the best moments in the making of is when Nacchi, Gakisan, & Kohachan are together by that bar counter looking area. Nacchi is acting cutesy silly and Gakisan is off by one year on Nacchi's age which Nacchi quickly corrects while Gakisan is commenting on how in some ways they haven't changed staying away from an adult image. You can really see how just being around Nacchi would be so much fun as she really brings an aura of enjoyment with her in whatever project she's involved in. With a whopping running time of approximately 32 minutes and a very long making of segment, this DVD provides each member with a lot of individual screen time and each member in this group definitely deserves that kind of attention.

I didn't notice the glass in mid air in the PV until you mentioned it! Thn again, I didn't notice Nacchi getting a seemingly random haircut, either. Thanks for pointing these out! I never would have noticed otherwise XD.

  2. Hotaru I had to rewind that part with the glass as first I was like…what the? I don't know what it all means…floating glass…strangely stacked up chairs…new Nacchi haircut…foam brick…walking on water…heheh. 😛

The floating glass but really did confuse me? I'm still not entierly sure why it just stops, all very odd!I've never really seen checked how long any of the Making Of segments are on these Single V releases, they always go so quickly when watching them, they can always be longer!!

Haha, that floating glass confused me too! I was like, "Well, Nacchi's obviously the Jesus of Hello! Project" for the walking-on-water thing. What does that make Gocchin? She can apparently do magic, what with the freezing stuff in midair…does that make her the Harry Potter of H!P? Though, I didn't notice the random haircut! I was like, "Oh, Nacchi's gone back to short hair again, will the H!P girls never make up their minds?" I didn't realize that it was actually long on the cover until you pointed it out! Ah, H!P. Always a surprise.

  5. Paul I liked it when they showed Gocchin shooting that scene with the glass as she had to pretend to be picking it up in mid air. lol. I guess only the director of this PV knows the true meaning of the floating glass…maybe he had a dream about it the night before or perhaps he just thought…floating glass…cool! 😛 I agree you can never have too much making of footage! But I do take an interest in how long they are as they've been getting longer and longer gradually over the years! Plus the length of these making of segments is really something unique to Hello! Project. With other J-Pop releases first you're lucky if there even is a making of segment and then if there is one, you're lucky if it's longer than 5-10 minutes. Hello! Project really is the pioneer in the way they release their PV DVD singles with so much behind the scenes footage. When it comes to this Hello! Project is king!! 🙂

  6. Chiakii LOL! The Harry Potter of H!P! That's too funny! Tsunku could be Dumbledore…uh although I don't think he's capable of magic but he always seems to magically pick the right people from the auditions so maybe he does know magic.:O It's so odd that she decided to cut it in mid production of this release! I do like her going back to her "Nacchi" look though which I'm very accustomed to. 🙂
