The first press that almost got away.

It's funny how something can be there everyday and just when you want it then it's gone. I actually joked about how it would be gone now that I wanted it. Recently Zdorama got me into Tackey & Tsubasa' music as I wrote about earlier and I was telling them today that their debut mini album which appeared to be a first press edition had been in Shirokiya's (a store specializing in Japanese merchandise here in Hawaii) Japanese music section in the overstock for what seems like years now. This was released in late 2002 so a first press edition is indeed pretty rare. It's been there so long that you don't even notice it anymore. And of course when I finally found a prime parking spot at Ala Moana Shopping Center today and went in to look for it, it was indeed gone. Funny how things can work out that way in life. Thereafter I thought that we go check out Hakubundo (a specialty Japanese store) not really thinking I'd find anything there. More like a browsing experience. I couldn't believe it when I walked in and there it was in the overstock. Probably sat there for years with no interest from anyone including me. After all it was released in 2002 and who would care now. Being a new fan this was like finding treasure. The first press is packaged in a nice box which includes the cd, a poster and 10 photos. I already own the regular edition of this album but a first press is too hard to resist.:)
