…sure you remember Colt?..the over the edge detective played by Emilio Estevez spoofing one Mel Gibson to hilarious perfection, and that prior to Mel himself the real one going over the edge? Well if not, here’s a quickie refresher:

Yep Emilio’s artificial ‘perfection’ buttocks crack me up every time it seems…(^q^)!
So a couple of weeks or so ago a friend at work said he watched this awesome series titled “Spartacus Blood and Sand” and asked if I had heard of it and so I told him I hadn’t and asked what network it was shown on and when he said it had been aired on HBO I could then share the sad reality that HBO hasn’t been seen or heard from where I live since sometime in the latter 80’s to early 90’s. In fact I wonder to myself if their logo still flies in outer space like it did back in the day….?
Anyway he insisted that I give it a viewing because I’m ‘guaranteed to love it!….’ so he lent me his Bluray.
Now since I’ve been away for awhile from most pay channels, when exactly did HBO begin to stand for HOME BOX ORGY?!? =O Really after the first couple of episodes I felt like I needed to shower soon as I felt kinda dirty~like, like I was watching high definition Bluray porn which ended up making the seX and more seX scenes appear to be ‘even more realistic’ just as my home screen had always intended for me.
In fact there’s so much seX that if one were to find by some chance of its existence the diary of Spartacus it would have read something like this:
May 21st,
“…..killed breakfast, ate breakfast then had sex. Trained hard all day long and was requested for my presence at the palace at dusk and had no idea I was there to have sex. Did so and am now awaiting the next duel at the Colosseum, had sex again. Slayed a wild tiger, two Thracians and am now awaiting more sex…..”
And in hindsight it’s all so crystal clear now as I should have known better or at least had been much more prepared for Spartacus as my very same said Spartacus Bluray lender has expressed openly in the past on occasion his take on a movie or series he’d just watched and it’d go something along the lines of this:
“……wasn’t a single tit or ass on screen so therefore it’s like 4 stars but would’ve been 5 if there was some sex in it…”
Just imagine if movie reviewers were on the same brain bandwidth and then it’d go something like this:
“One of the most thrilling movies of the year!, if only there was some sex to speak of.

“Thoroughly gripping and powerful! No nude scenes though.

“You’ll laugh, you’ll cry! But where’s all of the naked people?

I wonder does the Playboy Channel know what HBO’s been up to? Kind of crowding and moving into their market if you ask me (・д・`*)！！
And it’s not ‘just’ the abundance of seX in this series, it’s also the seemingly nearly non stop nudity which is going on so frequently and the depictions really look real that I had to pause it for awhile and ask my lender if this isn’t indeed porn that he’s secretly tricked me into watching xD. Okay don’t get me wrong I’m totally not a prude I swear and I always hear directors or actors and actresses alike commenting on how the nude scenes supply a necessary ambiance or realism if you will to the scene(s) and without them a lot of the story and its connection to the biographical material or script would be then lost in translation. So the Romans had a lot of seX, a lot of naked servants and just nakedness in general on any given day back in the day. And the show is really bloody too and I should have been readily prepared as the word ‘blood’ is smack dab built right into the title =P. So I guess it’s not so much like Colt’s unmotivated ‘butt in the moon beam walk’ after all as there surely is a need here for an abundance of boobs, you~who’s and buttocks to keep Spartacus moving along without a hitch but speaking of buttocks and male roles, ever notice how usually the women are all the way naked while men tend to be butt~naked ‘only’ due to ‘clever’ camera angles and the such? Well no need to worry as Spartacus solves all of those conundrums as it wholeheartedly offers the ‘rare’ sight of full frontal for both men and women alike =D. You know after writing this post I may need to take a shower again 「ヽ｀、ヽ｀ヽ(*￣o￣*)>ヽ｀、ヽ｀」、so in ‘short’ I too recommend “Spartacus Blood and Sand” as soon you may find all of the nakedness to be second nature too and just a non~gratuitous visual of the plot and times brought to deep realism all the while creating a storyline which is pretty second to none when it comes to historic drama series, all time.
Still, those unmotivated gratuities of butt in the moon beam walks will go on as scheduled as well as the occasional celebrity ‘forgets her underwear’ and goes outside scandal so not to worry ＼(^o^)／ ☆。
Still somehow this post ended up feeling a bit incomplete if left this way so I unwittingly asked said Spartacus lender to give me something extra gratuitous, I mean something which defines the very meaning of gratuity for no apparent reason. You see we had been going back and forth about the reasoning and level of necessity for such widespread nudity and seX in a drama series for the sake of realism and so with this ‘ unmotivated’ gratuitous undressing thought being argued, here’s what he came up with and I must say it’s quite a naughty sort of fly on the wall seifuku ~~> mizugi visual (for lack of a better description) which comes courtesy of well I don’t want to keep calling said lender as such but he’s a bit shy so I’ll just say it’s from the same said Spartacus lender aka: he who should not be named and come to think of it he does sort of act like…
..Voldemort at times =O. (kidding!!!) Still, Voldemort! Great name!!

Well after watching Spartacus for about a couple of weeks or so, this whole girl undressing/ dressing seems to be a completely normal thing to see in every day (Spartacus) life except NO gladiators, scheming, back stabbing hierarchy or seX to be seen here and I’m not even going to ask what this video is supposed to be about so I’ll just leave it at being completely like Colt’s butt in the moon beam walk for its pure gratuity as as when in a script or otherwise would it be necessary at all to have girl~(a) change in front of the camera for a scene? Like couldn’t it be completely understood without showing, that she goes to change (cut action/cameras off) and then begin rolling again as she’s now completely changed wardrobes off camera for the next scene? =P. Well in any case it seems now that with the abundance of nudity and seX witnessed over the past couple of weeks all via the “Spartacus Blood and Sand” drama series, I’ve now become somewhat immune to some of its ‘powers’ of shock and awe and more shock so thank you Spartacus! I’m now immune to excessive/ ‘unnecessary’ nudity so the next time a director says that the lack of an actor/actresses’ clothing is what makes the scene or storyline work/ believable/ necessary I’m good with that,
I think? =D
The aftermath
So today whereas the old me (me from just two weeks ago) during a gratuitous sex/nudity scene of a movie/drama would have been uneasily shifting in my seat all the while thinking to myself…’is it really necessary to see how he takes her aggressively from behind?’, the new me (me after approximately two weeks of viewing “Spartacus Blood and Sand”) now sits confidently thinking….’wait so they had a baby? but exactly how, where and in what position were they in when they conceived said child? Can’t believe they didn’t show that in greater detail’…(^q^)!

Also the Limited editions come with a special packaging not seen with the regular editions plus some very cool external photo extras albeit they’re the same three for me =P. Anyone want the handshake event ticket therein of the limited edition as I won’t be able to use it sadly?
Also Kasai’s 2nd solo single “Mine” is here which reminds me….where the heck is her 1st solo photo book reprint/ reboot?!? I guess it indeed has rested along with Minimoni’s doomed album upon that dusty shelf deep within H!P’s lair along with as well as a few party coasters from Tsunku’s big bash~*~~* of yesteryear =/.
Moritaka Chisato has released a new collection! It caught me by sweet surprise no doubt and love the whole YouTube tie~in! Plus we get a DVD too with this release =D.
And the AKB♥ family all dressed in their personal clothing? Yes it’s a very special photo book collection and I’m not sure if you can tell from the photo just below but it’s indeed a very thick book! Can’t wait to dive in and perhaps scan a bit for here? I’m sure it’s most awesome!
And lastly with the AKB♥ family general elections on for fans of course I wanted a copy of the accompanying election guide! Beautiful cover….mmm♥ its Mayuyu & Yuko ＾＾。
